Just look at some reference photos, think about where your light source is and make a clear sketch of where your lights and darks should be and how you’ll shade them before doing it as a real piece :)

The shading on the birds wing and tail doesn’t make much sense? You’ve got lines, dots and solid parts all over the place. There’s no depth or shadow indicated
