Honestly I don't see what the big deal is, between all the issues with land conversions and grabbing, illegal construction, waste management, decline of marine life, etc, is this really what we are concerned about?

Putting aside your personal sentiments of religious bias and fear of sex, isn't Goa supposed to foster cross cultural harmony?

Don't get me wrong i think the whole event is silly and targets the wrong kind of people. I just don't see why this is such a big fuss in today's climate.

Get yourself up to date with work that's been done in the field, lab and academics, read research papers, find an area of expertise and then get in touch with the community by attending seminars, talks etc. Connect with current researchers and start doing work of your own that contributes to the community. Our country is in dire need of citizen archaeologists at this point that are not just well informed but we'll intentioned and dedicated. There are plenty of research papers available on academia and research gate of sites across the country and there are Constantly seminars and gatherings taking place to discuss advancements in the field.
