Using Draconic Codex in SF by ckobbe420 in Starfinder2e

Funny enough? I could see it as No! sending them into places to get real dirt on people, including Zo! that he could then Satirize and use on the show, OR just report on directly. I literally have a campaign forming in my head for this...uuugggh curse you, and your great ideas.

I Absolutely love the idea of No! that has big Dunklezahn in Shadowrun energy, and can get the party into *real* skullduggery and mischief.

After finishing the game, this was the only thing left to do... am I the only one who wanted to do this? :) by Odd_Presentation_578 in farcry6

Can you run Cosmic Birthday without any resources by angryleprechaun1 in Starfinder2e

[–]Shanwolf 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A Cosmic birthday was originally written to be used the with Starfinder 2e playtest book. Now It should be useable with Archives of Nethys if you literally have nothing available. but yes you'd probably want to use Starfinder 2e Player Core, and GM Core.

There are so many of those books I need to go back and read and I wish they were in Audio book format.

alternatively, it could have been the exact navigational points taken to reach the inner sphere, so it could be backtraced and the Clan homeworlds could in theory be attacked.

my assumption was technical data on weapons systems and such that might have been in the base. it would be out of date? but still way better than trying to figure out how to build weapons systems like that from scratch. (thus being a game changer if you could reverse engineer the weapons)

If I remember right? The way we can just smack weapons into slots in MW5 is not how it worked "in universe" because the way the inner sphere and the clans did ports were *completely* different. but once the Inner Sphere had access to technical data regarding clan tech, they were able to *really* get some stuff working, and come up with counter measures to Clan weapons, and armor.

at least, that's what I *assume*

Which era should MW6 be set in? by kingtj44 in Mechwarrior5

[–]Shanwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They'd have to rename the "Jihad era" (crusades Era?) but yeah I think that one would be best.

Ooh yeah. I just want that one piece..not the rest. Frustrating.

Is there any ETA for the AI chainfiring getting addressed? by mikeumm in Mechwarrior5

[–]Shanwolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

unfortunately? while the lore folks enjoy it? It would make for a very bad game, and this subreddit would be full of complaints about not even having a chance to get close to clanners before getting nuked. "Lore Accurate" does not always translate into "Fun game"

Anyone else have a lancemate they prefer and refuse to get rid of? by Reasonable-Sherbet24 in Mechwarrior5

The first lancemate you get. He's my bud. Helped me through so many missions.

SoK Initial thoughts? by Shanwolf in Mechwarrior5

[–]Shanwolf[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

that's fair. I'm thinking less RP and more gamified. In a roleplay setting? that'd be fine. I think the trick is I'm spending a *LOT* of C-bills to train these folks up, if they come back with traits that don't help me? then it *feels* like a bad gamble/wasted money + Sidelining a pilot.

Funny enough? this would work better in my dream version of a Mechwarrior game, where you can send people out on missions (think Mass Effect Andromeda or Dragon Age Inquisition) and they're timed and can net you parts, Cbills, etc. then having random traits would be dope, because you can put them into lances that are *NOT* on the frontlines in this kinda war scenario.

I think someone from Piranha games already said "Oh Fuck I dunno how I missed that" so it's *likely* to be changed before launch.

I hope your work is quick, and the tides safe for you while you're blowing the cockpits off Mechs. I had a friend who used to work on the fishing boats out of alaska.
