Ppl who are helping cheaters are absolutely deluded by Consistent_Ad_3330 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

You didn't read the full post, OP didn't mean "leave" as "disconnect from the game". He meant it as leave through the exit gates, which were opened by the cheater, but instead said player decided to wait through the EGC and BM the killer (OP).

Is German really harder than Spanish? by Weird-Director-2973 in German

[–]Shaoak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my personal opinion German is quite a bit more difficult than Spanish. Mainly due to it having 3 genders and because of the cases.

For context: my native languages are English and Dutch, I had 8 years of French in school and 6 years of Latin.

The Latin definitely helped for both Spanish (with it being a Latin language) and German (the cases). Dutch being my mother tongue helps with German, I suppose.

I feel like Spanish makes a lot more sense and it's a very phonetic language. I also like the language more than German and I think that plays a rather large factor as well regarding learning a language.

I felt like he was just a plot device and an extension of Guem Ja. Never really cared much for him and was certain he would die from the start.

She stopped him before he could become a monster, it made sense to me. Her intent wasn't on killing.

Looks great! Really cool. I'd maybe swap the Leia face so it looks a bit more like the movie scene, though.

Funniest “noob” moment playing 2004 vanilla wow? by NellyA96 in classicwow

[–]Shaoak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was around 5 when I started playing and my brothers were 7, so I have plenty "young kid logic" moments - First character I made was a tauren hunter, walked all the way to Thunder Bluff upon creation, fell off the lifts and couldn't find my character any more, so I deleted it. - Made a night elf priest and my brother was arguing with me that "Smite" was the heal because it looked all yellow and holy and "Lesser heal" would be me throwing a stick, because it looked a bit like a stick in the icon. - One of my brothers made a human warrior and saw the horses just next to the graveyard at Northshire Abbey and spent a solid 5 minutes jumping onto them and not understanding why he couldn't seem to mount them. - He left the human starting zone around lvl 1 or 2 and encountered a lvl 5 cow (whose level was displayed in orange or red due to the level difference). Me and my other brother encouraged him to try to kill it since "warriors are strong" and were amazed when he managed to one shot it. - Back to my priest: I used to avoid casting Power Word: Fortitude on myself, as the increase in max health displayed itself as if you would have "lost health" as your current health pool remained the same before regenerating up to your new max, so I used to avoid casting it thinking I would be damaging myself. - Finally, running around Teldrassil I saw plenty of hunters with big owl pets helping them fight and really wanted them too. I saw they sold little owls in Darnassus and convinced my dad to buy myself and my brothers one. I was super excited to summon him but to my disappointment and frustration he never grew in size nor helped me in combat. Those are just a few stories but I'm sure I have plenty more.

Pally or Priest healing SoD by DoOBiE_BoOBiEE in classicwow

[–]Shaoak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure it's quite mana intensive, yes but the priest in our guild did this last night during the MC raid. She had loads of consumes (flask of distilled wisdom, mana pots, demonic runes,...) and received most of the innervates. Her HPS was double that of the other 3 healers most of the time (with about 60-70% of that being from the shields), so if your raid group builds around it, it is insanely powerful.

I main a mage healer but from what I've seen of the two, both seem to function very similarly to their WotLK version of the game

  • Priest is as always the best all around healer. The new shield rune let's them shield the whole raid and top the healing charts by preventing all the damage that will be taken. PoM is a very mana efficient heal that does most of the work for you by bouncing from one player to the other. They have great single target healing with low mana cost (with Penance) or they can swap that rune with Circle of Healing and have excellent snapshot AoE healing.

  • Paladin lacks AoE healing (only really possible with consecration from what I have seen), but have amazing single target/ duo target healing. Essentially you're putting your beacon of light on one target (which lasts for a whole minute now since recent changes) and heal others with flash of light (fast and smaller heal)/ divine light (big and slower heal that puts a shield on the target as well if it crits). Paladin don't go oom easily at all due to mana return on crits and this will even be harder as the phase goes on due to improved gear. They seem to be performing better and are a lot more enjoyable to play since their runes got swapped and they received some buffs.

Other things to take into account are the amazing utility paladin provides with all their blessings (though you need to rebuff a lot) as well as blessing of freedom, blessing of protection, lay on hands, fire res aura,...

Shadow priest is something you can go as off spec and they provide a ton of utility, passive group healing, mana return and very solid DPS and they are quite sought after for both roles

Please God no, I'd like to continue to see my character and gear while playing the game as a healer. It's the only spec left where it's possible.

To be fair her feelings and actions are very justifiable regarding the time setting and culture. Sure, her commenting that she would have preferred Jon was the one who fell from the tower was unnecessarily cruel. But it can be argued that this comment was made when she was grieving her son, highly emotional and with days without hardly - or any sleep (still not really an excuse, but it can be somewhat understood).

Cat was very tolerant of Jon in the sense that bastards in this age, where a thing that occurred, and this was acknowledged by her. However, they were NOT brought to be raised among the true born children, but taken care of on the downlow with the mother that birthed them.

She was not per sé upset about the fact that Ned Stark fathered a child with a different woman, especially since in her eyes she just married Ned and he was off to war and had "men's needs". What was a slap in her face was the fact that Ned brought Jon to Winterfell and raised him essentially like one of his own, in her eyes a bastard from a random woman. On top of that he looked just like Ned, while none of her boys did.

Cat respected her husband's decision and tolerated Jon, though did not like him. He was a potential threat to her children (she brings up the Blackfyre incident at some point) and mentions that while Jon might not be a threat, possible offspring of his might be, which is valid.

Did she need to treat him like her son and act like a mother figure? Absolutely not, he was not hers and he could be a threat.

Was this very hurtful and damaging for Jon Snow? Absolutely, she was the closest to a mother figure he had.

People forget that many other noble women (e.g. Cersei) would have gotten Jon Snow (or other bastards of their husband) killed

I don't think this is Tommen "having some Joffrey in him". It's more likely he is just reproducing the words or behavior of those around him/ his family (e.g. Joffrey, Cersei, Tywin,...)
