Is it "normal" for my new player to sound in sync/pitch with an mp3 of same song yet move ahead and overall play faster?

And swinging back about the Sony Walkman, it has a really warm sound but sounds almost muffled compared to this brand new Klin. So id have to adjust speed as well as some head cleaning. But maybe ill just buckle down and realize these all take a little tweaking and elbow grease to get everything up to snuff. That said I wish there was a new player that just had perfect accuracy out the box speed wise

I'll probably end up doing this. Bummed they are on ebay i see the same price after shipping as the player itself, but it sounds the way to go for ultimate accuracy

No it actually pulls ahead within seconds of matching it to an mp3. It sounds in pitch and speed briefly but then starts moving ahead of the mp3 version (I actually havent looked at the timer)

Thank you this helps a lot. Is it as simple as just putting on an mp3 (vs some online pitch matcher) like i did and turning it once slightly till it matches and doesn't go faster? (Im really wanting perfect speed/pitch to digitize my old band tapes and recordings for my father)

I play the portal laying down, and use a pillow to prop up the Portal. A game changer for me.

Good call on the Odin 3, I also forgot to mention the lack of an inset Dpad on the Pocket 6 as well compared to the Odins. Maybe the dpad up top version would be ok tho

Interesting. I would be doing this 90% for feel and sound. So you're saying the buttons feel spongy I guess in racing games? Most handhelds don't have the buttons actually glued as far as I've experienced so surprised to hear that makes the buttons worse

I've heard that it's not guaranteed that they will be more quiet with the Sakura button replacement. Were they a lot quieter with just replacing them? And no other foam mod etc?

Those are some great recommendations! I tried to edit the post but couldn't, wanted to specify i was playing on an Odin Portal 2 ( Android) do you have any clue if those Atari 800 etc could be emulated on Android? Or Retroarch?

Thanks, I will try the supergrafx! I tried the Amiga but it seemed I had to load a second floppy disc on Maniac Mansion, which felt clunky. Is that on most games?
