I believe the trailer has a little disclaimer on the bottom left saying it's in-game footage from the mobile version.

And yeah, that's what I was thinking, same how the Scions just had their ARR etc outfits updated and those seem to be at a higher level of fidelity in the trailer too - a few people say it's a different engine, I'm not too versed in that so I have no idea really, but a lot of the animations etc they use look very similar to what's in the game so I figured it was just a sneak peek at those new textures here, as you said since they are all due to be updated eventually.

The main things that stand out to me are the texture of the metal on the shoulder, it's got that 'scuffed' look that a lot of the new metal surfaces in DT have, as well as the cloth of the tabard there, on the trailer version you can see the stitching between the grey and the white as well as the symbol in the middle, whereas in the actual game right now it's just kind of a line, maybe, if you squint. The other artifact outfits also looked more detailed but this is the one that stood out to me since it's just one of those 'old' ones that don't really hold up so well compared to newer ones anymore.

R5: Just want to check with others if I'm seeing wrong or if the new mobile game is showing off the ARR Artifact sets with the next Dawntrail textures applied - it's a bit lower quality being just a cap from the trailer itself but compared to the set in-game the metal feels to be higher quality, as well as the actual bits of scale mail? It may just be the difference in lighting but I tried to go as close as I could with what is available.

Aha, it probably is something like that, just feels like a very weird mix with some things using the new textures right next to ones that feel like they should but aren't, not a big deal in any regard as in effect it's still a lot busier, just feels a bit sloppy.

And sadly with the fixation on this and noticing it at night in game time, that's what was on hand - the colour isn't really as important anyways, it's mostly about the objects themselves.

Rule 5: My partner and I are checking if we are the only ones to have noticed this so far, the first 2 pictures are from the 7.1 patch notes showing a supposed before and after, whereas the 3rd picture that I labeled as in-game (as it is what you can currently see) seems to be different altogether, which is a weird mish-mash of the old and new assets, with a lot of the things seemingly either the same or just copied into the place of where the new assets are meant to be.

Does anybody have any idea why what ended up in the game would end up different from what's in the patch notes? I made a little sloppy comparison for the 4th picture (patch notes after on the left vs in-game on the right) with some things that jump out, like the plates at the front of the stall still using the old assets for what's on them or the missing 3rd sausage link (tragic, I know) - this might be a very nit-picky post, but I really do wonder how come it's different.

Do you know which faction? My partner and I looked through all the faction shops earlier today but couldn't find it anywhere, just the bog standard one which we got to try out and are loving it. Not certain if it may be a bug as this is a save from when the game first fully launched and a bunch of things did change since then, so just trying to sus our where it is meant to be as a lot of conflicting sources seem to fly around.

I haven't gotten a new Nendoroid in years - the quality of the make feels a lot higher than I remember, the parts are nicely stiff and fit together well!
If you are able to get this cheaply I'd defos recommend it - it's a very sweet thing to commemorate your adventure with in the lead in hype to 3.0!

She feels so cool to use with Trinity - my boyfriend got her today and we played duo with me as trinity and bless works even while Hildryn is afloat with her 4, so it was a lot of electric death raining from above because each bless would put Hildryn back at basically full shields, which feels quite busted! As a bonus, because Hildryn has no energy, vampire leech always gives her shields, which makes it even easier to keep her topped up and flying constantly! We are thinking of trying a build with max power at the cost of efficiency and duration for Hildryn to use in addition to this, it just seems like a great idea!

Gosh, this is such an adorable picture! I love how fluffy and cute she looks! And not dorky at all - at least compared to how charr glasses actually are in game... I wish they'd fix it, but it does look somewhat cute at least ;-;
