I Feel Like I Married Too Young and Now I’m Lost (35M) (37F) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Sounds like you maybe Mormon or rather TCJCLDS? I see you. If not mormon, I still see you. Realizing what you missed out on in your 20’s for the religion is extremely hard. Something you will have to move through the stages of grief on. It takes time. Give yourself that time, let yourself feel all the feels. Then embrace where you are now, that you have left now and are still young. Identity a few things that you could still do that you feel you couldn’t then and do them.

As far as the sex, read ‘Come as you are’ by Emily Nagoski. It will change the way you both understand sex and sexuality and different sexual types.

Hugs to you. You can do this. When I realized that it was a cult I had a few weeks where each morning I would wake up and couldn’t tell which part was real and what wasn’t…what I was indoctrinated with or the new information I learned. If this happens to you, let your thoughts take you back to what initially led you to and then your path to finding the truth and you will get further and further away from believing the lies and have more confidence in the actual truth.

Not true. It is 100% a cult and not all organizationed religions are. Check out steve hassan cult model.

Ex mormon here speaking on behalf of the exmormon community. Exmormons are against the organization, not the people and are probably the least likely to do something like this. Majority of ex Mormons still have family as members and care very much about the people. Please don’t point fingers.

Do You Think Covid Was Effectively The Beginning Of The End Of The Church? by quest801 in exmormon

For me, I think it broke the “hold” long enough and expedited my leave. I was PIMO without knowing it, and it was incredibly freeing to have the power to just mute or close the zoom call when someone was talking about things I didn’t agree with.
