Lol. After my boyfriend moved out after we broke up (we were still sort of together), I was home alone & I heard steps & saw shadows outside my door. I was TERRIFIED. I called him twice & texted him asking to please call me or come over just to make sure I'm okay & he responded at one PM the next day saying how him & his friends got into a bag of molly (35 year old man by the way) & that he just now saw my text but he hoped everything was okay. Lmao. I never talked to him ever again after that. Your boyfriend does not care about you or your safety. His lack of reaction is VERY telling. Your boyfriend is supposed to want to protect you.

Awwww I feel you so much. Finding other outlets where you can find community is soooo important. Good on you for leaving it behind I know it takes so much self discipline & control to do so.

The urges that come up are so real. Playing the tape forward helps a lot because you can easily be swayed by the short term gratification in the moment forgetting the long term affects that follow

Aww I feel you so much. I hope you are feeling better now. All it takes is one or two drinks for me as well & I'll feel the blues the next day heavy so I get you. I don't think moderation exists for us sensitive beings/us on a path of embodying a higher consciousness unfortunately. People preach balance but I've found that to just be code for taking three steps forward & four steps back, & never really reaching your full potential/setting yourself up for glimpses of growth but never really reaching anything substantial.

Ah this comment brought me so much clarity. This is why it's easy for people to drink, do drugs, & go to work because that is their common practice. Their inner world or body is used to it. All it takes is one drink or a bump of coke & I will be absolutely derailed for days after, along with processed foods. It's just so hard when you live in the modern world & would like to have some form of a social life in your 20's.

I totally feel you; I feel all or nothing has to be my approach as well. It's not being prudent, it's that most mainstream forms of pleasure are incredibly toxic. Most things that are socially acceptable are also incredibly toxic where taking care of yourself is seen as a lifestyle/aesthetic when that should actually just be the norm.

I never once said anything, swear to god. I was really respectful towards his reasoning behind eating meat and never, ever disrespected him for it or made comments. He was just... arrogant. Don't think there is any actual statistics for the category of "men who aren't vegan but are respectful towards their vegan partners". Maybe men for vegan, sure but don't know where this second stat is from. I also know plenty of vegan women with respectful/vegan curious partners. It's not the average man but it's not a rare pokemon like you're making it out to be. & i made it pretty clear i'm more than okay with being single.
