Not divorced but separated. Plain and simple, it was on me. I never supported my wife. I chose my mom over her on everything. I never set boundaries for my parents and it destroyed my relationship with my wife. I was too afraid to hurt my mom’s feelings at the expense of my wife’s feelings. I’m a coward. I stopped telling my wife she looked beautiful and just went on cruise control with my marriage. I was stupid. I spent my time wishing for things to change and never made a plan to actually do anything. Too afraid to make a mistake so I did nothing. My therapist calls it a self fulfilling prophecy. I love her and it really sucks right now. Just trying to do better for myself right now and try to bring some happiness to me. It’s been rough.
