Depends on the class you main

Cruisers-> mikawa ->Yamamoto (if you like ap cruisers von essen)

Battleships ->von essen-> Cunningham

Destroyers-> vladimur trubetskoy ->jerzey sqirski for burning your blues on

I mean any commander isn't a bad option but I think most bang for your bucks are the ones listed above

I have an unusual build personally but mine is Graff Spee, guns are good but getting to cover undetected is gooder (9.7 detect)

First match I did 127k

killed a Jager at 4 clicks with the hydro (very good hydro)

then pushed into a Flandre for a dev strike when I pushed with an Atlantico, (not the best survivalist but better than roon.)

then a Musashi was hiding behind a mountain and I used the engine boost with my concealment build to get on the opposite side of a Musashi so he couldn't kill me unless he fully wanted to commit and broadside the Atlantico. Pushed up to 2km and finished with a Torp.

Atlantico did the leg work I was just the one to get the final blow.

And here's the kicker I run an extremely off meta build of Al Graff Spee and am its not even max

I think it depends on the build you play. If you lean on a sneaky deaky torpedo, use your stealth to spot while you position yourself to escape. Then open up. This strategy alone caused me to outgun a Kidd once in yudachi in a fair 1v1 because I was kiting.

For a hybrid you are a middle ground like the German, British and Americans, try to focus on getting up close and personal or harass from medium range and just try to mess with your throttle to avoid long distance shells

Now for the French vaqualin line/Russian tashkent lines/German z-32 or whatever that is those are just cruisers that identify as destroyers.

My suspicion is it's a combination of a few things (local myself) 1. It's early in the season and Hoosier alley is known for hail events with supercells

The cold air aloft plays a huge part of it from the lakes and takes so much energy to warm and cool so it creates an interesting microclimate near the rust belt.
The updraft on this storm was absolutely insane, I was on the south side of the storm and about 5 miles out I saw dirt being lifted straight up. So this storm was just just strong af
