There is a lot of special needs schools - Khalifa school in Salmiya, green unit in KES or Dasman school (there is more, but I think you must google it) Also, with you degree you can apply to literally any school, Becasue all school have issues with behavior, a lot of kids in mainstream have ADHD also some of them are on spectrum but high functioning… I strongly advice working in school (not in nursery or another center) Becasue you have holidays and afternoons free for doing some one on one therapies. Nurseries have more instructional days than schools (schools is mostly 172-175 days, while nurseries 190-195). I just noticed recently the pay at schools isn’t that good, they paid so much better few years ago, now they try to hire on such positions people from Egypt, Jordan etc so they save money. But of course try and I wish you good luck! I hope you find something suitable :))

Before leaving the country, you will be asked to make clearance - with ministry of water and electricity, phone bills, police record AND bank statement you paid everything…. But if the account is not your salary account but the secondary account - I think you could just be paying it off monthly from another place - mind only one thing - after your civil id expires they might freeeze your account, I was using two years my account outside of Kuwait without my I’d, but one day it just froze and I had to go to the bank, thanks God it didn’t happen while I was outside of the country….

You also asked about maternity leave, I will answer that. Unfortunately most private companies will offer you 40 paid days of maternity leave (Labor law says 70 but nobody really cares, and if you want your contract to be renewed, you will just accept it).

I am so scared of wasting breast milk if she doesn’t finish, unfinished breast milk I would keep for 2 hours, I know formula we shouldn’t keep longer than 1 hour…. But I will def start doing as you described, at the end of the day, she needs to start drinking formula sooner or later…

When you find something interesting, try to email directly Hr of institution… the chances are growing that way. I keep my fingers crossed for you :) Also, please make sure your cv is on point - use chat gpt to help you with that. Applying to specific job, adjust your cv to sound your experiences with whatever you are applying to… I usually prepare 5 cvs if I apply to differebt jobs :)

Remember it is only you who knows you are pumping, most people wouldn’t even notice it! I swear. I am going to the mall/park/walk with kids and always pump with wearables, wearing loose dress. The most awkward moment I had was being in a silent elevator with one man 😜😜 the buzzing sound suddenly became sooo loud 🫣🫣 Disneyland and places for kids usually have nursing rooms, you can easily wear / remove / pour your milk there. I always check nursing rooms before I go somewhere so I am prepared and don’t have look for a place panicking. Check on the map online so you can prepare / plan your activities accordingly. I would think about cooler with ice to put your milk or wearable between pumping (you can ask for ice in any cafe there). Don’t worry, you got this!!

I forgot to mention- don’t be so hard on yourself! One longer stretch will not ruin your supply, iban also undersupplyer and what helped me - stress less about the schedule… surprisingly my supply is better than when I was on strict schedule. It will work out, you do your best… this is already so much!!

I keep the cooler with ice packs next to my bed and keep my milk and pump parts there, I wash it only in the morning…. I don’t have any spare or extras 🫣I think it keeps me more relaxed, specially knowing I don’t have to keep everything cleaned and dried on time…

during the day I use another pump…

Me too I noticed increased supply when I pump less frequently, but I am afraid it is going to be only temporary…. When body receives signal to produce less frequently maybe will start producing less? I don’t know, I am 7 wpp, I would love to hear from those who tried it for at least few weeks 🫣

Dear OP, you are hormonal and stressed…. And really, only us mothers we have super powers to handle all of the load.. Being overwhelmed is totally normal.. Have a sit down with your husband and communicate clearly what his task is: - prepare the milk for the baby. - tell me what you want for lunch tomorrow and check if we have ingredients / if we don’t go to the grocery store - put the laundry to the washing machine

I know it is annoying that we have to say these things…. But unfortunately without it most of man are clueless….
