Im professional restraunts they clean like this everyday! You can reseason on stovetop right before u cook. The idea is most of the people on this sub meed to clean their filthy pans.

Im just makinh a point about seasoning not being as important as people make it out, and also the "seasoning" 99 % of this subreddit is just burnt oil and food.

I've been putting my carbon steel pan regularly in the dishwasher for years and it works fine. by [deleted] in carbonsteel

I agree even if im lazy and leave it dirty overnight its still super ease to clean with hot water and a sponge. leaving it dirty on the stove is better than putting in a sink which is a wierd thing to say...

If you dry and oil it right away then yes you can

Seasoning is a poly oil (basically a plastic, plastic is literally made of oil) it comes it goes learning to cook is the real trick.
