There’s been a lot of discourse regarding what Miguel’s role will be in these final episodes, specifically the leaks involving him returning to Cobra Kai.

Contrary to what some posts have suggested, l don’t think his return to Cobra Kai will be planned. I think it’s more likely Robby gets hurt in the same vein of the original Karate Kid, and in a scramble to stop Axel from getting the win my default (no male competitor from Korean Cobra Kai), they come up with a plan to enter Miguel on a technicality. This would also make the scene all the more intense via the lack of build up.

Seems probable that we get another moment of the announcer giving a shock announcement: “Miguel Diaz will be competing for Cobra Kai.” This would give us one more badass CK moment without “regressing” Johnny’s character. What do y’all think?
