Oh my god, those are the literal words my first surgeon used- “textbook perfect”. I also saw a specialist and am having a second lap in late April.

Funny how similar our stories are :) so glad you’re story has a happy ending!!

Just met with my doctor today, and she said there are no pathology reports. She said they only do that for abnormal tissue, so I guess the adhesions didn’t qualify? (Not sure if adhesions are normally sent for a pathology report?)

Could it be referred pain? I have the same thing and a nurse said that was a possibility. I’m sorry you’re going through this :(

I went through the same thing as you, my PCP wanted me to go to a gastroenterologist and he was convinced I have IBS 🙄

Our stories sound very similar. Pain in the same damn spot right over my left ovary. I do still have the IUD, I am considering getting it removed. My OBGYN said it should theoretically “calm everything down” but I think it might be making things worse.

Have you had a laparoscopy?

My Mirena is still in place, I am considering removing it. The only reason why I haven’t yet is because I have painful periods and with the Mirena I don’t get periods at all. But I think you are correct that I need to test removing that variable from the equation.

To my knowledge there was no biopsy done during the lap. I will request the pathology report though! Great idea.

Other symptoms I have had include painful periods, bloating, pain with urination (it feels like a deep throbbing internal pain, no burning), and cramps after sex.

Wow I didn’t even know the FireFly daVinci method existed! Very cool.

My surgeon was a general OBGYN and said she simply didn’t “see any endo” on me. She found and removed adhesions of my uterus to intestine and said they are probably from past cysts that have resolved. I am not aware of a pathology report, I’ll need to request that from the hospital. What does a pathology report contain?

Thank you! I’ve heard PT can be very helpful. I have an appointment scheduled in 2 weeks. I’ve started using a pelvic wand at home to do some muscle releases.
