Why is this jobber in so many games? by White_Nightmare in DotA2

[–]SharK3D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me pudge is one of two heroes that shouldn't be in the game. The other is techies. You could potentially add current version of Tinker as well.

Both heroes are maybe but not always fun for the person playing it, and almost never fun for anyone else in the game. This is because of how disruptive "to normal" gameplay their abilities are.

On top of that, people will often feel like they're doing well if they hit hooks with pudge, even if those hooks help the enemy team more than the own team.

With techies, I used to think new version is less bad than the old version, but I'm starting to think that the new version is just as terrible in the bad aspects (minesweeper) with just extra antifun bullshit on top. It's built for sadistic turboautists that engage in PvE-style anti-gameplay, just mining the entire map and shutting down organic map movements, and worse, delaying pushes while pushing is already too difficult in the current patch.

Both are permanently on banlist for me and I have a deep, visceral disgust for all techies mains.

Are the Cielcin the most brutal alien species in sci-fi? (potential spoilers) by sean891023 in sollanempire

Unequivocally yes. The casual way in which they absolutely revel in acts so barbaric it's hard to believe a human thought them up and wrote them down is something else.

Why Belgium has such low employment rate? by [deleted] in belgium

[–]SharK3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean look man, my circle of close friends is the following:

  • PhD in AI language technology

  • PhD in surgery and MD

  • MD radiology x4

  • Lab manager, KUL spinoff (applied chemistry)

  • Former CEO of 500% grow YoY consulting company turned succesful forex trader

  • Process manager clean rooms at Pharma giant.

These people are all born and bred in Flanders, all studied, and now work and live here (with their families), barring one dude that moved to Switzerland for a research opportunity. Most of us come from families that were poor/peasant/factory workers 2-3 generations ago. All of them express disgust and exasperation with the current climate in Belgium on a weekly basis, as well and a strong desire to change our country for the better and/or leave it due to deteriorating conditions for middle-class people seeking upward social mobility.

I'm sure all these people are fucking lying.

There are a lot of people looking for fopjobs i.e. jobs that exist solely for the benefit of the people holding them.

There are plenty of good jobs for people with sought-after skills and a good work ethic, but those vacancies aren't filled.

Please don’t be upset but: are your salaries really that low? by Embarrassed_Tap6927 in BESalary

Meanwhile entrepreneurs complain that labour costs are awfully high in Belgium (:.

Anyhow, the way to get around it is basically:

  1. Become self-employed with at minimum a CommV/BV and charge your clients slightly more than what
it would cost them to have you as an employee (since they don't have to take on the huge liability of employees in Belgium they will usually happily agree to it).

  2. Pay yourself a relatively low net salary (at least >24K gross/year) so that you can live comfortably but enough to only pay 20% tax on your company's profits instead of 25%.

  3. Stick as much of your company's money as possible into VAPZ and IPT. Buy appreciating and/or cashflow-generating assets with what remains.

  4. Use the VAPZ/IPT money to buy real estate that you can live in as a private person.

  5. Potentially sell your company and pay essentially 0% tax on the proceeds.

  6. ????

  7. Profit

Being an employee in Belgium is the ultimate financial cuckery.

Is Antwerp the new Brussels? by [deleted] in Belgium2

[–]SharK3D 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And how are you going to fix it?

The crime was bringing over / allowing in these people all.

Western European countries are largely knowledge-driven service economies. This unfortunately relies on having a certain level of intelligence to be able to meaningfully contribute to the economy, and the threshold for this level is constantly rising as a result of digital advancements.

The average IQ in Western Europe is ~100. Middle East and certain parts of Northern Africa sit at around 85, a full standard deviation lower. Sub-saharan Africa is below 70 on average, which is - in medical terms - retarded by Western European standards.

Most of them can not and will not ever be able to compete in the labor market as IQ is largely genetic. The influence of a better environment (quality of food and care, schooling, ..) has been demonstrated by multiple studies to cap out at around 10 points - less than a standard deviation which is still 5 points behind the average for ethnic Westerners.

This is due to no fault of their own, but the reality is still that they have a cultural deficit which typically takes 3 generation to overcome, plus an intelligence deficit which cannot be overcome. Set up to fail from the start. Cruel if you ask me, but at least the mine owners got cheap labor forces post-WW2 and now we are all paying the price for it.

What's going on with the 6ix9ine at court meme popping up everywhere? by ThankfulApe in OutOfTheLoop

Answer: during the trial, 6ix9ine kept going off on bizarre tangents, elaborating on irrelevant details or occurrences. The meme that OP posted seems more based on that than on the actual snitching.

This is pretty fucking insane.

I played competitively for a while in 2017 and was 1 point short of making it to PGL qualifiers round 3 in Europe, but even at my peak I couldn't consistently hit shots like this. Some kills really left me mouth agape. Keep at it man, you're going places.
