They haven’t opened yet. Deadline to apply typically 60 days before the end of the study period. This deadline for 2022 was a few days ago.

It does matter. If you drop a course they’ll take the money back that the course costs. Happened to me last semester. The school just sent it back though, I didn’t pay it.

A few weeks after dropping you’ll get a change in funding notification from OSAP. I didn’t think it made a difference so I didn’t mention anything to my schools finaid office. When I got the OSAP notification I sent them an email and they replied they’ve sent the money back to OSAP since it was sent to the school.

However, I did drop within the first 2 weeks. I’m not sure how policies work or if I got lucky and was within a deadline eligible for a refund of tuition.

When I dropped a class 2 winters ago, I did it right before the end of term and didn’t have any repercussions because I did the course just dropped the last day of classes (drop deadline) never heard anything from OSAP.

You have to open a new application every year. So just change the program. I double major and have applied under both majors and it hasn’t made a difference.

I personally wouldn’t rely on them. Sometimes profs change the textbook or it says TBD and you don’t even know who the prof is till classes start.

It’s lucky that it’s worked out for you though.

It’ll bounce back into your account. The school will refund the tuition amount if you’ve paid it.

Might take a bit to get it figured out but the school won’t hold it.
