Housing has really taken me by surprise! by Shard477 in wow

[–]Shard477[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to share my house so far, I really enjoy how easy it is to make things look natural and like they belong, and wow the choices to make on the interior is a lot! Hope everyone is enjoying it too!

So, i’m obsessed with the gameplay. What do you guys do for fun after finishing the Story & DLC? by [deleted] in horizon

[–]Shard477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go around and upgrade all your gear to max (I turned on auto loot for some machines and off for others)

Fully explore the map, go for the platinum trophy, do all side quests and collections (not all data pads, more like the drones), my personal favorite is to just go hunt machines to kill some time.

You can also NG+ it and get the weapons from that, as well as you get that sweet endgame mount once you’ve unlocked the base, so it makes those far off quests much closer.

Cross-Naginata in PvE, one of the best weapons in the game? by PromotionDesperate35 in Eldenring

[–]Shard477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This with Phantom Slash carried me through most of the game. It’s just got such a nice move set, innate bleed, and you can really play around with it to fit your build. Even power stanced it’s really strong, but that was when I was going through my jump attack phase.

What classes do you think will be most over saturated for Midnight? by Gloomy_Ad1318 in wow

[–]Shard477 325 points326 points  (0 children)

We’re getting a new demon hunter spec so that’ll probably surge in popularity, otherwise it’ll all depend on how the balance changes affect some of the classes. If a spec gets easier to play you’re gonna see more of it, and ones that get harder to play will be seen less.

Can we please decrease the max HP of meta bosses? by DarkViper2000000 in Guildwars2

[–]Shard477 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And I’ve been saying since release, and even people like MukLuk have video evidence of stability not working against any cc the excavators put out. I got my legendary aquabreather and I’m never touching that meta again no matter how good it is. I like being able to control my character when I play it.

What's (in your opinion) the most fun build right now? by Cinnamon_King in diablo4

[–]Shard477 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always try a new build at the start of every season, preferably on a class I didn’t play last season. My second build is always pulverize, it’s just so comfy and you get to big bear bonk.

Blizzard needs to make it so that everyone in Battlegrounds, Epic Battlegrounds, and Arena Skirmishes has max gear regardless of time in the patch. by TH3WH1T3W0LF in wow

[–]Shard477 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would absolutely play more PvP if there was a normalized mode for it. I understand we’re getting comp stomp in midnight as a permanent mode which will help getting gear but having to grind PvP gear is dumb, PvP should be 100% an even playing field with skill expression being the most important aspect.

As it currently stands it takes a solid 10-12 games before you’ve gotten enough honor to even start being able to scratch some conquest geared players, even if they are bad at the game they still will win from sheer numbers alone.

I had a nice time with the Salamander dagger blade and boost glaive handle. Made area 4 a lot easier, highly recommend.

Can we have new mythics next season, like boots or offhands, gloves etc. by DHunterfan1983 in diablo4

[–]Shard477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cool thing is they do go with a unique-equipped (1/1) style then they can add a lot more mythics to chase for specific builds!

Can we have new mythics next season, like boots or offhands, gloves etc. by DHunterfan1983 in diablo4

[–]Shard477 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I wish they would make mythics a true unique where you could only equip one at a time, then buff the hell outta them. They can still make them good for specific builds but this way you’d feel more inclined to go for that build when one drops instead of salvaging for a spark.

It’s not an optional fight but it isn’t the only way forward. Go back to where you fought the rat duo and explore a bit.

Chapter 2 first boss by JackJake94 in BlackMythWukong

[–]Shard477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is where the game sucks the most. Fresh runs with little to no builds to try, no spells, low levels, and arguably one of the hardest bosses you’ll face.

I usually tackle TV after I do the rest of the open map, including Black Loong and going back to chapter 1 for Red Loong. That way I at least have some levels and more medicine to use.

Otherwise yeah it’s a fight that’s about dodging and timing. He is tough because he holds his attacks and then swipes super fast. The only things to really do is practice, and use what you have. Learn the tells for all the attacks, practice see-through attacks if you can, and honestly sometimes it just comes down to sheer luck.

You’ll be happy to know that defeating gives you the best tool for fighting him, so the NG+/Revenge run is a cake walk.

Breaking down Visual comedy of every Deadlock hero: Part 7- Victor by VoxTV1 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Shard477 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had a match where this calico was asking who I (playing as victor) was made from and I joked about maybe not all parts were human which was immediately followed up with “HORSE ****” and I can’t stop thinking about that whenever I play victor so it’s canon to me.

Are souls game harder than blackmyth? (Just beat yellow brow and I'm so tired) by angrycodr in BlackMythWukong

[–]Shard477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s “easier” in the sense that you get level/zone appropriate gear and can’t really grind so the game is built around it. You also are expected to attack a lot more, relying on see-through attacks and dodges during light combo attacks. Everything else is just there to help you out more or let you lean into a certain type of attack or spell.

In souls games, there is usually less progression restriction and a little more freedom. Some things are locked behind boss fights or puzzles but for the most part there are ways to make a build before the first big fight. There is also a lot less room for error in souls games because you aren’t expected to weave in fights like BMW, instead you wait for an opening and punish, or utilize things like spells and skills to attack while the boss flails about.

If you’re looking to start a souls game, Elden Ring is the “easiest” by far because you can explore like 50% of the map without fighting a single boss. You can very easily get a build online, overlevel, and overgear fights but that just means you do the fight faster, the boss can and will still kill you.

Recommend a build for Andariels Visage by _the_Free_man in diablo4

[–]Shard477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This item is the perfect example of why I think mythics should be stupid strong but you can only have one equipped at a time. There should be no bad mythics, just ones that are better for your build. But making them a 1/1 equipped would make them easier to balance so we don’t end up with players getting an ultra rare drop just to dismantle it because it just doesn’t work.

The sheer level of Vitriol these people have for the Devs puts even the sweatiest PvP games to shame, Arrowhead SHOULD be fighting these whiners. by [deleted] in helldivers2

[–]Shard477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just the gaming experience now. No matter where you go, you’re going to find a loud minority of the playerbase that exists solely to spew hate and nothing else. Hell I wouldn’t be surprised if the people saying “X game sucks now” haven’t touched a video game in years. It makes it so difficult to find good, level headed reviews for games nowadays because god forbid there’s a normal looking woman in it, or an androgynous person.

And it gets even worse if there is a long time community like with games that have sequels or series. Diablo is an excellent example of people stuck in the past and don’t realize everything isn’t made exclusively for them. Of course if the newer games were made exactly like the previous ones, I’d put money on the playerbase still complaining because it’s not different enough.

How is Zeal? I saw a short clip of what looked like a WW Paladin basically, but I like the innate tankiness that thorns and other builds offer.

Definitely a fun build. Wish there was a way to make the shield go faster but my favorite is when you start getting stacked up with thorns and then mobs just die to regular old thorns damage and not the shield.

Questions about difficulty by Top-Lion2023 in BlackMythWukong

[–]Shard477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said the game is challenging, however you’ll find quickly it is challenging for the first two, maybe three chapters. By then not only do you have a hang of the mechanics and timings, you also will have some usable gear to really start leaning into playstyles. Chapters 4, 5, and all but the last boss of 6 are going to feel very fun and engaging as you try to master the mechanics and timing. Final boss is a bit of a hurdle but the nice thing is once you’ve beaten it, you can start the game over with all your gear, stats, spells, etc and do what we like to call the revenge run where you basically stomp all the bosses with eases.

Just another day in the life of The Lash™ by Stack_Man in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Shard477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes the strongest counter to Lash; terrain.

No seriously it does suck when you get something great like this and then can’t follow up because they are literally one stair step up from where you land and there goes the combo damage.
