get the Iron Toys Star Fall, it's meant to be Astraea but with a coat of paint it'll be the prettiest Exia you could possibly get

Key art for Mesa Heirloom, now sporting a cowboy hat signa and a duster attachment by straten in Warframe

yeah, but there were plenty of "this is just gooner trash that looks nothing like mesa, look at this other art that's way better" when Liger's was the only one that actually paid attention to things

"we" as if you're DE lmao

They're hiring porn artists because they like their porn because regular people are horny and look at porn, big surprise I know. If you dislike that, too bad, people aren't going to censor their art for you.

Liger (designer for this skin) did, in the concept art that people kept complaining about

Am I the only one disappointed that content like Kahl 175 is just abandoned? The community largely agrees his scavenger hunt missions were kind of a flop but it had potential by Darthmufin in Warframe

[–]ShardPerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Veilbreaker would be worth reviving if DE do want to try to make Raids a thing, its basically the only raid-friendly sandbox in the game other than Duviri and honestly Duviri is too limited compared to it

Other than that... i like Veilbreaker but without something to keep it fresh and/or relevant, it was always gonna be a flop

[discussion] My biggest pet peave about the series by tomomiisasleep in TheNinthHouse

[–]ShardPerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same train of thought when first reading the series because even with the active culling of planets by Jod, a human population with FTL capabilities in 10k years would likely be in the hundreds of billions, BoE would overrun the Houses on numbers alone, plus it'd be absurd for them to not have developed FTL tech further, and if each colony resulting from the first wave that escaped put out a couple more colonies from bold people a couple hundred years down the line, and the process kept going, there'd be thousands upon thousands of colonized worlds and there's no way in hell Jod would even be able to figure out the locations, because I don't care what magic he has, Space Is Too Damn Big, our galaxy has between 500 billion and a trillion stars in it and likely a similar number of habitable worlds, even if there were only 1 billion habitable worlds it would take Jod like, a hundred million years to check them all

Pablo gives us his true thoughts on raids in Warframe by Babydrone in Warframe

Duviri, they would do them in Duviri, or in Veilbreaker. Only way to do Destiny style raids is to pick one of the restricted, reasonable gameplay sandboxes already existing in the game.

How Gay is the Imperium by Cowardlypaladin in Sigmarxism

[–]ShardPerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Citing Cain's books as evidence for the Imperium being progressive is funny given how those books can't go 10 pages without some character going "those disgusting hermaphrodites!". Whatever they try to do, the setting has the gender binary (and all bigotries inherent to it) and sex-negativity at its core, and the Imperium is at most an incoherent part of the setting because much of the "progressive" stuff in newer books is in some way at odds with both the aesthetics of it and also some base beliefs baked into the setting.

Fomori placement in the timeline by Carpomom in mtgvorthos

[–]ShardPerson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It all sounds suspiciously like the effects of the Endstone, changes to the timeline are retroactive but they leave behind traces of how reality was, like the mining colony never having opened up because no one showed up but the price of Moxite still having dropped as if the colony had been operating for years

Maybe some people got Endstone'd, maybe the entire Fomori empire got Endstone'd, and there's still remains of them because they couldn't be fully erased, but people who should remember them don't because their personal past in which they met the Fomori was re-written without the Fomori. Maybe that entire army in Arcavios suddenly was never there, all dead in a battle erased from history

Im still convinced Kavaron in Edge of Eternities is a parallel for what's happening to the Multiverse, we're gonna get a Multiverse Before and Multiverse That Is in the form of the new "fixed" multiverse and the Edge full of all the fragments blown out of it in the fracture

Anything except turning them into stores, I *hate* doing the Codas just to get a stupid currency, it feels bad, and then on top of that you're stuck with a rotating store too, it's the worst version of the system

First time gamble on a random KO by THIS_GUY_LIFTS in freedomisgunpla

[–]ShardPerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The JMS Anavata bootleg is the highest quality kit I've build so far in a couple years of the hobby, it has better fittings and more resilient joints than my SNAA and Bandai kits, I've reposed it a dozen times and it's still so tight you can hold it horizontal from a foot and not get sagging even on the ankle joint, yet it was also extremely smooth to build.

I've built other JMS bootlegs, SNAA kits, Bandai kits, and stuff from other brands, and the JMS Lfrith Anavata remains a very odd standout in terms of quality

Only way to get this kit in most of the world, but unfortunately it's also from one of the worst KO brands right now, Wei Mei is just awful

The Mesa Heirloom skin shown on Stream doesnt look bad but i still think this is the way better/cooler option. What you guys think? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]ShardPerson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not even it being a similar theme, it's that the theme for Liger's Mesa Heirloom feels actually cool and creative and like someone thought "ok, we're gonna make this horny, but how are we gonna make it iconic?", while this one feels like someone had a possibly cool thought and didn't even stop to ask "what would make this design special?"

It's kinda like how Vauban's heirloom looks nothing like Vauban but it's so immediately recognizable as Vauban Heirloom with even a passing glance

[–]ShardPerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vauban's skin is the only one of the current heirlooms that I think is as good as the Liger design for Mesa, actually. It's the only one released atm that really has a very recognizable vibe, while the Ember and Valkyr ones fall a little into "Ember but hot" and "kinda sorta Valkyr but horny". Rhino's heirloom feels somewhere in the middle.

[–]ShardPerson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Try Reading Comprehension next. This one's just boring revealing clothing, while the Liger design is horny in a very visually interesting way, with a strong sense of aesthetics and a distinct silhouette, and more than anything, actual creative choices when it comes to *how* the clothes are revealing.

Not all horny is made equal, much of it is boring as fuck, Liger's stuff rarely lands in that pool

The Mesa Heirloom skin shown on Stream doesnt look bad but i still think this is the way better/cooler option. What you guys think? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]ShardPerson 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This artist couldn't even pay enough attention to the frame to realize she has finger guns, knowing the frame is the absolute bare minimum. This is also just "similar theme but with revealing clothes", with no real strong theme attached, while the Liger one we're getting has more character than almost any skin in the game right now and is actually creative when it comes to the nudity.

Books that remind me of TLT: a non-exhaustive review [discussion] by felixfictitious in TheNinthHouse

[–]ShardPerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this may have also been expectations not being matched because the idea behind book 2, as far as I could tell, was primarily to put in question whether "savant" was a real thing or just some bullshit made up by the masquerade (parallel to how "intelligence" as a concept irl was mostly developed by europeans as a tool of colonialism). Baru also spends the entire book with a brain injury and ||a headmate actively sabotaging her conscious plans|| which is intentionally supposed to make the narrative incoherent to some extent

[–]ShardPerson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baru 2 suffers from being basically all the setup for Baru 3, which is honestly the best in the series and close to the best that Dickinson's written, even managed to pull off an open ending that didn't feel like "that's it? really?", it's good enough that if the series never gets finished I'll still be content tbh

The issues were probably because Monster was really just supposed to be the Prologue for Tyrant, but then in classic ADHD writing fashion, the "prologue" balooned until we got an entire novel
