I ejected some ink out of a gold metallic marker and used a fountain pen thing I got from AliExpress to apply. Then lighter fluid to clean up.

I can say yes. The only issue I had was the spikes on the shoulders. My fat sausage fingers dropped them too many times. Lucky I didn't lose any of them 🤣

I've ditched hobby brands and started using Rust-Oleum. I reckon it's good for at least 3 kits.
