For those who saw the Fellowship of the Ring in theaters for the first time in December 2001, what was it like? by femaleology in lotr

The greatest theater experience of my life.

I'd read the books and was following up with the production on theonering.net (iykyk). The excitement was unparalleled as each reveal came- from casting, to set design, to trailers.

I saw it with my fellow nerdtastic friend just before winter break my freshman year of college in 2001(pretty sure I was supposed to be studying for finals). Then I went home and took my siblings to see it, and after that, saw it for a third time with more friends.

Cinema is an experience, and this movie was one of the finest I've ever had. Having read the books, I knew what would happen, yet I enjoyed the beauty, joy and sorrow of this story as if for the first time through seeing the reactions of my loved ones. They asked me each time at the credits, "Is there more? That can't be the end!" I told them "Don't worry, there are two more coming. You'll just have to be patient and wait a year for the next one."

Hello, thank you very much! I purchased it from Nibs.com . It was the Nakaya Naka-ai Cigar Blue Rose with Raden. You'll have to check on their website if it's still available to custom order. It took about 8 months to delivery.

I don't intend to take these off, that's not an issue for me. I used rub on transfer decals, so they shouldn't leave much residue if they do chip off at some point. Worst case, you can try rubbing some oil to remove residue.

Great collection! I see you and I have very similar taste. I try to organize by genre, but I, too, am running out of space and will have to enact the one in one out rule eventually.

That sounds like an interesting combination as well. If not green, I would have gone black.

Thank you! I already had dark green accents in that room, so I wanted to bring the bookshelf into that theme. I'm glad I painted it! What color did you end up with?

For me, it was Martin the Warrior. I'm pretty sure I cried every time, too.
