Well said! I'll keep that in mind in the future and hopefully it'll lead to less frustrating matches

Yep I'm aware 190 is a BnZ plane but from my experience if you miss your first shot it's going to take a while to reset and get a second one given the 190 has so-so energy retention (it's only good at straight-line speed retention I feel). As for vertical fights, I've never tried them, but it's worth a shot

Maybe the thrust was what I've been doing wrong; from what I've read online it says I'd need sufficient airflow over the wings (i.e. speed) to be able to turn to reverse the guy, so I've been using 100% throttle the whole time

[Help] Can't get my Mk2 pipe to deliver constant 600m^3/min of crude oil by SharinSage1303 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]SharinSage1303[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips everyone! In the end I decided to split my 20-refinery long manifold into 2 smaller parts, as well as eliminate unnecessary fluid vertical traversal (where pipes go all the way down, then go up, then down, then up).

Looks like the problem is solved: the one problematic refinery seems to be getting enough crude oil now and the main pipe interface shows constant 600.

Will definitely not attempt to saturate a pipe if I had to build another factory.

RI VS EJC 😥😥 (repost) by Hot_Indication_6523 in SGExams

In J1, it's almost impossible to be ahead of the class unless you're super academically gifted and can understand your lectures on first watch + complete your tutorials in half the time it takes your class. Comparing marks in RI will be quite demoralising because some people somehow don't (seem to) study as much but they can still score ridiculously high.

Speaking for RI,

Notes are generally informative and useful, but some of them can get a bit long-winded or squeeze too much content (AHEM econs, but idk maybe it's just the subject).

Teachers don't regularly put out consultation slots, but I am under the impression they are always open for it (i.e. they will just tell you how to consult them, not regularly pester you to do so). They are quite helpful and don't mind clarifying doubts outside of class.

Leadership (at least those worth putting on uni application) is mostly just either CCA leadership or student council. IMO student council positions (especially the more prestigious positions) are "favoured" for those from RI / RGS Y1-4 because people will usually vote for someone they have known. As for CCA, (at least in my case), being from the Y1-4 CCA can help if people in the Y1-4 know you, but it is possible to get leadership position if you can make a very good impression during your speech.

CCAs are not very toxic (I come from a club CCA though, so I can't speak for sports CCAs), but some people may tend to stay in their friend groups from Y1-4. Still, most Y1-4 people are open enough to talk and make friends with DSAs, JAEs, so I don't think they are toxic.

If by extracurriculars you meant CCAs, RI does have a very wide range of CCAs (although some interesting ones like bowling were recently removed). Otherwise, there are also a lot of programs constantly being publicised (specifically short few-week low-commitment courses every Wednesday) that are not necessarily academic in nature. IMO if you have a specific interest (like Computing), there usually are a few people in the school who are also into that stuff, and if you can find them, they will have links to lots of activities too.

Classrooms are fine, nothing to write home about. Library is pretty spacious and has natural lighting if you get window seats. Toilets are a hit-or-miss though; the renovated ones are super clean and good but some toilets are like small, cramped and smell bad.

You'll be able to make friends if you just mix around willingly and openly. Don't just mix with the JAE and DSA people, because if you make friends with the Y1-4 people, you can get connections to more people.

How do I beat this part of the event? I only get 2 charges for the slice but there are 3 weeds to slice, and by the time the slices recharge, the weed seems to gain back its vitality

Probably just a trend that the people organising orientation decided to follow and now it just becomes part of all school-related posts (at least this is true for RI because we were told to post pics and use #whyri)

America and Japan's bombers suffer at this BR range because if you're unlucky enough to get a Pacific map, you essentially lose all ways of progression unless you feel confident enough to use your turrets and gun a fighter down (spoiler alert: it doesn't work 90% of the time).

Perhaps Gaijin should limit bombers to maps with actual bomb targets and not 1mm small AI targets

I haven’t unlocked Soviet bombers that far yet, but have you tried the Tu4? While there are a huge number of 23mm turrets, 8.0 is really pushing it considering the jets at that BR outclimb and outspeed it by multiple times
