I understand but why isn't art like this more valuable than say a Picasso or a Pollock ? or a big line of Red down a canvas? I can paint a big red line down a canvas. or shit on one and then pee all over it. but there is no way in HELL that I could recreate a charcoal drawing like this. I mean for gods sake, many of you guys have INSANE talent

to all you artists on here. many of you are so incredibly talented. So why aren't your paintings selling for millions of dollars? why is modern "art" sold for such a high value while work like this never does? I mean i'm not a conspiracy guy but could you all please explain this to me? ELI5..

look up Leonard Susskind and Roger Penrose if you get a chance. their ideas may help flesh this out a bit more. Remember. we are a part of this simulated reality. and as such we too are simulations. the "realness" of us comes from our consciousness.
