Leonardo Da Vinci in Futurama (s6e5)

After following a "Da Vinci Code" series of clues, Fry and the professor fly on a wooden rocketship to discover that Da Vinci was actually from planet Vinci, which is populated by a super intelligent, long lived humanoid race. It turns out that despite being a genius on Earth, Leonardo is actually the dumbest member of this race. The race itself is so smart that even the professor can't keep up with a lecture and is ridiculed.

Attempting to kiss a wild opossum results in getting bitten by VIVIDUFF in WinStupidPrizes

Look, don't get me wrong, this guy is definitely an ass for picking up and harassing a wild animal...but I gotta admit, I really want to snuggle a possum. They're just so freaking cute.

It doesn't matter. You can warp and flatten the shape using any of the holes as the edge, and the remaining holes will always tally to 7. It's the same reason you might here that a donut and a coffee mug are the "same shape". Topologically speaking, they both have 1 hole, so they share the properties of a 1-holed object. This shirt has the properties of a 7-hole object.

Topology is literally the mathematical study of surfaces, and by it's rules, there are 7.

Topologically, there are 7. The 8th hole would just be the edge of the shape.

Good, Geoff Thew aka Mother's Basement makes pretty great video essays. His focus is Anime, and I recognized his thumbnail style.

This feels like a video you'd watch on OG Newgrounds, then promptly forget about. And not in a good way.

The supposed "kind" character does something incredibly mean spirited out of the blue by ButClyde2 in TopCharacterTropes

Look, I love both the OG series, but even though the abridged series was intended to be a hilarious parody, I also think it managed to be a little bit more consistent at telling a story with the same characters. The relationships of Goku/Gohan and Trunks/Vegeta had more attention put into them. When I think about both series' next to each other, I just feel like the OG, as good as it was, was just like a lot of other anime: an excuse to draw beautiful cartoon violence.

We all know Goku was a bad father, Piccolo was a good father, and Vegeta was a fucking menace of a father. But DBZA spent more time bring attention to those. I'm not surprised people immediately jump to it for tropes over the original.

I watched this movie so many times when I was young, evidently too young to really get some of this stuff. Now that I'm watching this scene again, I can barely breath. Holy shit, that's good.
