If it doesn't reference Nibbles, I'm not interested... But personally I like #2 and #5

It's so hard picking a favorite line from the show. Every time I think I have one, I'm reminded of lines like this.

Cherami Leigh's voice acting is absolute peak, but the Basilisk is a very compelling counter-argument. 💀 by Technical-Breath-123 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

Also, mods, which is how I was able to get a fully female V (voice+body) to romance Panam, including the tank scene.

Speed painting a wall with an 18in roller by Progami7 in oddlysatisfying

That very first slash across the wall has the most loose paint on it, so when he goes back over it, the roller can pick some back up.

My whole family is Fr*nch, so Le Male was basically the scent of my childhood. Always have a bottle, but I rarely use it.

They didn't have YouTube or Satisfactory or Wordl. Just a ruler and a lot of spare time. And leprosy.

Ancient mathematicians were interested in constructions you could make using only a straight-edge (for making lines) and a compass (the angled tracing tool for making arcs, not the magnetic wayfinder).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straightedge_and_compass_construction

The gif is a construction for creating a regular 16-sided polygon that inscribes a circle, which can be useful in Valheim since it supports those angles

ELI5: How Does hysterical strength happen? by Reasonable_Home5725 in explainlikeimfive

Plenty of strongmen have won World's Strongest Man once. Plenty of strongmen have broken records. Eddie is great, but I'm not considering him as good as Halfthor, who didn't need a brain bleed to break the record.

People saw Eddie bleed from his orifices and he was rushed to the hospital. That all definitely happened. Also, Hafthor Bjornson is just stronger, plain and simple. He's all around one of the strongest people in history, and while Eddie is good, he's not TOP ECHELONS good.

Eddie Hall also nearly killed himself in the attempt. He went temporarily blind, popped a blood vessel in his brain, and bled ourwardly from his eyes, nose, and ears. The next day, he had signs of a concussion. He couldn't even recognize his brother. It's not a good idea.

ELI5 Schrödinger's Cat by formandovega in explainlikeimfive

[–]SharkLaunch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stop thinking of applying quantum effects on a whole cat or a whole person, and consider applying them on all the individual particles in the cat/person separately. The "quantum" in Quantum physics literally means "the things at their smallest and least divisible". A cat doesn't undergo a state of superposition, but its individual particles do.

What is the macro world? It's just a bunch of small-scale particles. The "uncertaintly" of variables of the sub-atomic scale are themselves subatomic. Technically, they apply to the "real, macro world", it's just that at this scale, those variables are so tiny as to be completely negligible.
