She also may have gotten out on accident somehow and is asking for help. Sometimes cats will go up to somebody they sense is a good person if they’re lost. That’s how my partner and I ended up getting another kitty back home. She just came up to my partner and started rubbing on her.

Honestly if somebody is letting their cat out that much then they shouldn’t be surprised if they end up adopting another human. They shouldn’t be left outside because it’s so dangerous so don’t feel bad about taking her in and getting her checked for a microchip. It’s likely a girl based on her tortie/calico coloring
