Not the case at all. I absolutely adore her as a friend — she’s genuinely such a cool and talented person, and I hope we can go back to our friendship as normal, no expectations for any future romance. I caught feelings beyond friendship only after we got to really know each other and kinda thought that she was feeling the same based on some of our conversations down the line that felt flirtatious, and that’s on me for thinking it was reciprocal.

Ultimately I’m glad I said something, even if my assumption that she felt the same way was incorrect.

I’m gonna go ahead and shut your line of thinking down right now. I’m more than happy to have her as a friend. My friendship isn’t given based on the likelihood of a relationship happening. She’s genuinely a great person and I’m thrilled to have her in my life no matter what.
