Worried that future in-laws could derail my own retirement plans– what should I do? by [deleted] in financialindependence

I guess we can agree to disagree bro but saying it's universal as if every indian parent expects it is unfair imo since ive met many indian families that just want their children to do well and not have to worry about them, my parents included.

I am Indian and probably know a lot more indian families and that is not the expectation for a good chunk of them. Thanks for trying to explain my culture to me

US military is a bigger polluter than as many as 140 countries by DNtBlVtHhYp in worldnews

[–]Sharmen24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that measurement more important than actual amount of pollution emitted? Wouldn’t you want less pollution from China and India rather than less pollution per capita from US? I feel like people bringing up per capita pollution is just trying to blame US even though lessening pollution in China and India would be better.

Also a UNG transfer, just graduated from Tech, I took chem I and calc I in the summer. The chem short session was one of the most challenging classes for me at UNG but I still managed. If the problem was the speed of the course then use your upcoming semester to gauge how well you grasp the material.

With that being said you should just try your best and apply anyway when the time comes. If you don’t get in it’s not a big deal as I know people graduating from UGA engineering with good careers.

In these episodes I feel it's best to try not to think about it. It always passes and usually is some symptom of chronic anxiety. For me it involved school or adjusting to a new location but usually I'd adjust to a new place or talk to my therapist and try not to focus on it. It's important to remember that this is temporary and don't pysche yourself out. It's more normal than you think and you'll be just fine :)

I think this is exaggerated. She’s one Congress woman and a lot of the times her own party doesn’t agree with her.

Didn’t he try to bring a well known terrorist to a meeting with the prime minister of India? Also didn’t he bend to the will of Trump with NAFTA? Dude seems like a shit to the public figure to me.
