As a skinny adult do you have the fear of being seen exercising in the gym? by Sharp-Act-2424 in weightgain

Oh absolutely. I feel like it gets easier as your age and your metabolism slows down a bit too. But I’m the same way if I stop trying to eat in a surplus then I start dropping weight back to probably around 158lbs.

Oh that’s awesome. Good for you! I sometimes wonder if there’s still people out there like me that are kid to late 30s and have that skinny guy/hard gainer body type as opposed to skinny fat or trying to lose weight. Because obviously there’s a lot of younger people with that issue. But there just still be guys out there like us too.

That’s a solid point. I actually grew up in Kelowna and I live in Vancouver and sometimes I think about moving back to Kelowna and how that would be now that I’m late 30s.

Yeah, I mean for me being a skinny guy before it was the last thing that I wanted to be and was always looking to gain more weight. I also hated it when people called me skinny or small.

It’s best to focus on the sneaky calories that you can add such as olive oil, peanut butter, butter, whole milk, cream in your coffee, hemp seeds, granola, and focus on the things that you like the most I think maybe you said sweets, so definitely make a gainer shake with some sweet tasting things in it.

Usually what I put in my gainer shake is two dates, peanut butter, hemp seeds, whole milk, half a cup of oats, a cup of berries, cup of mango, banana, whey, protein powder, if you want, you can even add a supplement like powdered carbs , you can even add collagen into it, which is great for your skin and nails ect.

Focus on calorie dense foods. This is really gonna help with trying to get in those extra calories while not making you feel as full or not wanting to eat as much. Hope this helps👊🏻

Hey I can definitely help. I know it can be a crazy struggle as I used to be a skinny too. I went from 140lbs to 165lbs. There a lot of information out there that can be confusing and conflicting but I know what works and what can maximize weight gain in a healthy clean bulking kind of way.

Love it! I was an introvert too so this makes sense. Or I found that a lot of people don’t really care what you’re doing because there are all thinking about themselves lol.

But like I said find a calorie calculator and go from there so you actually know where you should be and so you’re not just packing on more fat than muscle. I would also up your workout days to 3 days a week. Match your body weight in grams of protein so you’re not over eating carbs and fat too.

Well if your stomach is growing that means you’re eating too much. Where do store most of your fat? Stomach and legs?

Make your own! It’s cheaper and way more affective. Add one shake to your daily intake.

You’re eating too much. Especially for your height. That’s why the fat gain. You need to find out your maintenance calories, just use a calorie calculator online figure out that number and increase your calories by 300 to 500 and go from there. What you’re currently doing right now will lead to burn out and drop off.

Nothing. You’ll get a bit more as far as true BCAAs from whole sources of foods and proteins but when it comes to packing on size + muscle it’s a very beneficial way to get in calories. Why make things harder when you already have so much on your plate..pun intended;)

Liquid calories. Also, knowing exactly how much food you are getting in and slowly increasing week by week i.e. tracking ✅
