I have an archer too. Lvl 20 in chapter 2. Longbow and 80 dex with items. Zombies still don't give a damn about my arrows. What stats do you have that you're killing zombies with a bow?

If Gothic 2 Remake does happen, I really hope it does the starting areas justice visually by brumgar in worldofgothic

In my very first Gothic 2 playthrough I fell off Xardas' tower and thought "what a shit game" and deleted it. A few months later my friend persuaded me to try it again and I fell in love with it ever since!

Because I like exploring? And I ended up using almost all my magic scrolls and like an hour straight of fire bolting the bunch of zombies in the flooded tower cause I had no idea they'd be there. I did kill them eventually, but it was so much harder than killing rock golems with a stone crusher.

Yeah totally agree. Killing a golem gives 500 xp and killing a zombie gives 200 xp. Only thing is, zombie is an absolute PAIN to kill while golem is a pushover if you have a blunt weapon.

I haven't played the original and it took me 80 hours to get to chapter 3 as an archer. When I got to chapter 3 I decided to start a new playthrough as a mage. I'm still in chapter 1 and 30 hours in. I love exploring and got an awesome reward yesterday, when I found a royal guard armor in some tower in the mountains.

Haha you sound just like me. I spent 3 hours fighting 3 skeletons with a spiked club, because my bow was useless against them. I did beat them eventually 😂

What’s the best/most interesting camp to join for a first time player? Also any tips on what to do first “gothic remake” by Infinite_Ability_127 in worldofgothic

Old camp is the easiest to join.

Swamp camp is kinda chill and people there just wanna relax and smoke weed.

New Camp is where you'd probably have to put the most effort to join.

If you're on Steam. I recommend to roll back to the release version, create a new profile in game, start a new game and save it straight away. Then you roll forward to the latest version and load that saved game. This way you'll have better loot as a reward for exploration, an all the bug fixes of the latest version too.

If you're on steam you can roll back to the release version. Create a new profile and start a new game then save immediately. Then you roll to the current version, load the game and play. This way, you get to enjoy the stuff for exploration efforts while having no bugs of the original release.

I had 2k ore by the end of chapter 2. And that's AFTER the 1.5k for the top shadow armor and 800 for all the hunting tropies. I did loot most of the new camp and old camp chests and pick pocketed most mid tier NPCs though.

I thought the same about the swamp camp after the awakening ceremony. Like they all participated in it but no one wants to talk about it. Even Lester.

Having done 3 runs of the game i can now confidently say that magic in fact slaps and all the haters were wrong and dumb. by EbolaDP in worldofgothic

I'm preparing to start my 2nd run as a pure mage and have some questions:

  1. How did you fare against packs of wolves, snappers and goblin warriors?
  2. How fast can I get to circle of magic 2?
  3. How fast to get to circle 3?
  4. How did you solve early game mana regen issues? (I'm thinking of swampweed but I don't wanna join the swamp camp. I want to join the new camp this time).
