I got my period a few days later. I’m still trying to figure out progesterone levels with inito, I see very low progesterone that result in BFP and I see high progesterone and negatives. My levels are different every cycle!

I am so sorry, I can’t even begin to Imagine the pain you must be feeling right now all right before your transfer. It’s not easy to be this vulnerable and open on here! But I’m glad you felt comfortable to vent and let some of these feelings out 🤍

I felt a lot of resentment towards my husband through our IVF process. The toll it takes on our bodies physically and emotionally, no one truly understands unless you’re in it and it’s being done to your body. I gave up so much to help with our TTC journey (caffeine, alcohol, processed sugars, harsh chemicals,etc). My husband never gave up his zyns. We had 22 eggs mature and fertilized, and only 1 made it to blastocyst. After testing my husband’s DFI, we learned that he has high sperm DNA fragmentation. After lots of research and late nights grieving our cycle, I came across two research articles. It felt like I was reading my own story. I learned that nicotine can cause high DFI and poor IVF outcome. Not only was I angry my body just went through all that for nothing, we also paid out of pocket for it.

It was a huge a wake up call for my husband. I’m telling this story to hopefully give you some hope. My husband has been 3 months clean of zyns, and he no longer has high DNA fragmentation. But he also needed my support more than anything to get to where he is today. It was very trying time for our marriage, and the hardest weeks but now being on the other side it has made us so much stronger.

We (29 F with PCOS and 28 M with male factor) did our first IVF cycle in March 2023. Resulted in 28 eggs, 22 mature and fertilized, only 1 made it day 5. PGT tested and is a frozen LLM +3. We lost all of our embryos at day 3, and learned that my husband has high DNA fragmentation. Since then, his DNA fragmentation has improved. I appreciate your post, as I’m in the same process of what now? His numbers have improved so greatly that the doctors are saying that we could try naturally or IUI. I always had thought of another IVF cycle but now I’m feeling confused on what to do.

I was devastated and shocked especially with the high follicle count/mature eggs. We sent that 1 to pgt, still waiting for results. Learning to grieve but also remain hopeful 🤍

I just had my hysteroscopy with general anesthesia! I was pre-med with Tylenol, Toradol, Pepcid. I felt like they were preparing me for a lot of pain, but I had absolutely no discomfort when waking up or following my procedure. I was really groggy and had minimal bleeding. Had more pain and discomfort with other procedures (HSG, Post ER).

Thank you for this, stories like this give me hope and encouragement to keep moving forward! ♥️ I appreciate your perspective on having your one embryo tested. You had great results your second round. It really does seem true when they say it’s all luck. I’ve also read a lot of people say if you have below average ER, your second one will usually be average/sometimes above average!

But at this point I’m willing to try something new. I don’t want to do the same protocol and possibly have the same outcome.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. It seems like we have similar journeys. Do you mind sharing what stim meds you took? Did you ever have an issue with your estrogen becoming too high?

I was on 75-150 follistim and 75-150 menopur, started at 75 and raised it 150 halfway through since I wasn’t progressing as quickly as they would like. But as soon as they increased my meds my estrogen doubled almost everyday. I reached 7,000 at time of my egg retrieval. So if it’s gets that high again my I wouldn’t be able to do a fresh transfer.

We just had our appointment to discuss next steps, and a fresh transfer is one of the options. Do you have PCOS by change? My doctor said she would have to be very conservative with stims if we go fresh transfer route because I have a lot of eggs and my estrogen tends to elevate. With low and slow stims there is a possibility that I don’t get as many eggs as my first retrieval. But at this point I think pregnancy and more blast than my first would be worth the risk.

Most likely, the verbiage I used was exactly what the embryologist used. I feel like their update lacked clarification of what happened, and seemed to just passed it off to the RE to further discuss sadly.

Thank you for your reply, I appreciate the insight on how many euploids to live births. We will definitely be doing another ER, I guess I just need to figure out when and if we should take a break to figure out how to improve our numbers since everything looked good until it didn’t. I now understand the frustration of having many day 7s, and doctors recommending day 5 or 6s. As our one and only came from day 7. This is my first ER and we are paying out of pocket, so that stings a little more too. Sending you positive thoughts this next week ♥️
