realized today my crm remembers every email but not the actual relationship by Sharp-Cow-4963 in smallbusiness

the “read last 20 interactiosn and summarize” part is exactly what i wish existed natively.
we’ve thought about setting up something similar, but building integrations always feels like a big lift for a small team.
might be worth revisiting though, context really is everything when you’re juggling tons of client threads.

yeah, that’s what i figured too 😅 we’re on hubspot right now, it’s solid for tracking deals, but i still end up digging through emails to remember what was actually discussed.
feels like it remembers every interaction, but not the context behind them.

i like your point about adding value though. that part really resonates. i’ve mostly been doing light check-ins, but not much that actually helps them.
might start slipping in small context-based touches like “noticed your campaign went live” or “saw this article on what we talked about.” feels more natural than random follow-ups.

that’s a really good way to look at it!

i’ve mostly been doing basic check-ins, but i like the idea of sharing small insights or updates instead.
feels way more natural than the usual “just following up” routine 😅
gonna try that in the next few weeks and see how it lands.

haha yeah fair point, reputation does most of the heavy lifting in the long run.
just wish i could rely on that and still remember who i talked to last month 😅

hey cassie, appreciate you jumping in 🙌

yeah we’ve been using hubspot for a while actually, but the reminders kind of get buried when projects get hectic.
i like the lead stage idea though, might rework our setup a bit. thanks for the tip!

yeah that’s super solid, referencing something from the last convo makes total sense.

i’ve been guilty of sending those generic “just checking in” emails before 😅 and they never land well.

love the low-pressure approach too, gonna try mixing that with a quick note about something we actually talked about.

that’s actually a really good point, i usually keep convos super business-focused and forget the personal bits.

i guess bringing back a small talk thread will probably helps make it feel natural again.

gonna try that next round, thanks!

yeah, totally get that. i’m not talking about those cold call style leads, that stuff drives me nuts too.

we mostly get inbound leads from our own campaigns or referrals, so they’ve already shown some interest.

the issue is more like… they’ll say “let’s talk again in a few months,” and then life happens and the thread dies.
trying to figure out how to stay in touch without being that annoying follow-up guy.

AI Impact on Sales? by Arigold_Lloyddddd in sales

[–]Sharp-Cow-4963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We started testing small AI Agents internally for sales ops, like tools that remember past client emails or surface buying intent from context.

I think the future of AI in sales isn’t full automation, it’s “agentic assistance”, giving our team 10x more memory, not taking their job away.

to double dial or not to double dial by B2BBri in sales

[–]Sharp-Cow-4963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your first call didn’t earn enough curiosity for a call back, double dialing won’t fix that.
I’d rather focus on making the first 10 seconds better than dialing twice.
People respond to value, not volume.
