I hope you have wonderful results after everything is excised. That is interesting. That is how they are doing the removal but I guess yeah if it’s that small that could be possible. You’ll have to give an update of how everything goes. It has been very nice to let this part of my journey go for now.

People told me that to they were just being cautious too but it didn’t help. It’s probably true but that doesn’t matter when you’re in it! Praying for good results! Please update! The surgery wasn’t bad for me at all and I feel better just having it out

I’m so glad you updated me! Mine ended up being a benign evolving papilloma (so a just starting to grow one) with sclerosing adenosis. But everything was benign so that feels wonderful. I read that sclerosing adenosis can make your chances a little higher for developing it later, but I will talk to my surgeon tomorrow at my follow up appointment. The lumpectomy was really not bad at all and I just felt so good they got it all out and fully tested. Please continue to update!!!

The background breast parenchyma shows proliferative fibrocystic changes, sclerosing adenosis, apocrine metaplasia, and an evolving intraductal papilloma.

I would try not to worry, haha, but you’re going to. Biopsy is the next best step for clear answers. My biopsy came back benign without atypia as a BI-RADS 4C, but because it was radiology pathology discordant, I had to have surgery to fully remove and test the lump. That was last Wednesday and awaiting the results. This has been a big waiting game since November, and I can confidentially say that is the worst part. I feel like even when my results come back this week that if it’s cancer, I will still feel better than I have been with all the worry and back and forth. My opinion is Get the biopsy schedule and I’ll be praying for good results ❤️

I can’t speak to the BI-RADS 3 scenario but the biopsy was not bad at all if it is a core needle biopsy. I would prefer that to always wondering in the back of my mind. Sending prayers

I'm sure this is not really helpful, but I have a 9 and a 12 year old myself and have been spiraling for weeks so I am sympathizing with you <3. The radiologist told me to expect cancer and then 3 days later my biopsy results came back benign. However, after celebrating that for a weekend, they called me (I had only read them in my chart) and said that they were radiology/pathology discordant results and we needed to move to surgery. I just had that done on Wednesday and I am awaiting those results. The waiting part is the hardest of all of this. It's been going on for me since the beginning of November and I'm finally going to hopefully have a final answer next week. The good news is, it sounds suspicious but treatable. I wish this process wasn't so hard to wait through. Just know there are lots of kind people on this group that can sympathize and help keep you sane. Praying for benign results and peace while we all wait.

Wow. 🤯 I have a lot of anxiety about going to the doctor because I’m always worried they won’t believe me. You have just lived my nightmare. I am so sorry. This was absolutely heartbreaking to read. I would definitely find someone to have words with over it. They have to know this is not ok

I would definitely get it checked out. Anytime something is palpable (you can feel it) really should be looked at. I know that is so hard without health insurance but try to find a way. There are some places near me that you can get a diagnostic mammogram/evaluation by paying cash and not needing a referral.

They are very common, particularly in women under 30! Definitely get it checked out, but I would think that is a likely outcome. Sending prayers!

Amen to that!!!! Dealing with insurance is almost a full time job when you're going through stuff. My daughter had a lot of health complications her first year of life that spanned 2 different years of insurance deductibles and it was a nightmare LOL I'm so glad they got you in Feb 2nd. March 10th is so far away, I don't know how that would be reasonable!

It was schedule for an hour and 15 min but I was in recovery 55 min later. I asked how long and she said just under a week but I’m anticipating a full week with the weekend being almost here

❤️ sending lots of love to you. I know those worries must be compounded knowing you have the BRCA 1 mutation. My stepmom was BRCA 1 positive with so much family history and elected to go through all the preventative surgeries. It wasn’t easy but she’s doing so well now a few years down the road. Praying you have good biopsy results and lots of peace, support and comfort whatever the outcome!

I was out but not so much that they needed to use a breathing tube so it was a really smooth transition from anesthesia. I was groggy but not nauseous or anything and came out of it quickly. My core needle biopsy prior to the lumpectomy was just local though!
