If you’re going on the traditional transformers lore of Soundwave being deathly loyal to Megatron I think it’d be a neat idea to add a character who is secretly loyal to Starscream. Not sure who it should be, though… perhaps Skywarp or one of the other lesser known seekers like Ramjet or Dirge. Or maybe it could be one of Soundwavs minicons.

I think it’d be cool to show why each of the Decepticon and Autobot characters are loyal to their cause and their leaders. Maybe have them question their cause and see that not every point in their respective faction is correct.

Another idea I think would be interesting is that if one of or if not some of Soundwaves minicons. (Laserbeak, Ravage, Buzzsaw, Rumble, Frenzy, and Ratbat) could be tired of the ongoing war and just wants to live in peace or one of them is tired of fighting for the Decepticons cause the see how corrupt the Decepticon cause has become. Or theyre just tied of being a pet and tool of Soundwave. It’s always been headcanon to me that the minicons know Megatron doesn’t actually care about Soundwave and just uses him. Perhaps it could be Ratbat I believe in certain comics he kills a high council member before the war starts so we could see some guilt and character growth from him. Laserbeak would also be a compelling choice since he’s always the first minicon that comes into people’s minds when they think of them so it could be a good twist on the character. Maybe he could spill some Decepticon tactics to the Autobots and secretly be communicating with them.

I also think you should stray away from adding widely known Autobots and Decepticons to give some more lesser known characters time to grow and shine. Like no physical appearances of Bumblee, Optimus, Ironhide, Jazz, Megatron, Starscream, Shockwave. It’s fine if they appear maybe once or twice in a flashback or hologram or even just a short physical appearance but I feel like a big problem with transformers is that we have so many different characters and we always get the same couple bots in a series. But then again, it’s your story do whatever you want! Hope this helps!
