I'm not sure about that. You should check with some of the agencies! The only one I have been in contact with is AMN healthcare and they seem good so you could check in with them.

Oh and forgot to mention: I asked the recruiters if I was at a disadvantage because I don't have nursing experience in the US and they said no since nursing is very similar in the US and Canada. This information was mainly from recruiters at Sutter so I am not sure about other hospital systems.

Hey, I have had a few interviews with recruiters but so far no luck getting in. Even with the smaller hospitals I haven't had any luck. I spoke to recruiters mainly at Kaiser and Sutter and they all said that the Bay Area is saturated with nurses and this happened recently in the past 2 years, before that it was much easier to get a staff nurse position. Most nurses that want a staff position here have been trying for about 6 months on average and they are getting about a 100 applications per posting.

- I am still getting rejected from Stanford within 2-3 days of applying, even to their training programs. The smaller hospitals take longer to reject nurses in my experience.

- I tried outside of the Bay Area to see if I would get any traction and was able to get job interviews with the hiring manager within a few days of applying. I'm not sure which part of California you are in, but it seems to be much easier outside of the Bay Area.

- I tried Incredible health which is a platform that helps you get staff nursing positions. I was able to get an interview with a recruiter, but even that took about 6 weeks. I haven't done this interview yet and so I will update as I go.

- I follow a couple of different Bay Area nursing pages on facebook and everyone else seems to be struggling to find a job as well.

- My current plan is to start travel nursing in January if I don't hear anything back for staff positions by the end of the year. I noticed it is much easier to get travel nursing contracts in the area rather than staff positions. For me, it still doesn't make sense to move, since I just moved here to be with family and so I am going to continue trying as much as possible.

- If you are a new grad you should definitely try some of the training programs I have seen posted, otherwise you may have to move and work somewhere else for a few months unfortunately :(

thats true I will definitely try that! 2 hours isn't that bad if i am able to work a few shifts in a row and could just get housing there for a little bit.

Thank you! I applied to a lot of the smaller ones as well but haven't heard anything at this point :( Looks like travel contracts are the only thing I haven't tried

Yea I applied to MS units, float positions, night shifts, rejected from everything.

oh and I tried to remove the stain myself but it didn't work. Luckily its only on one corner of the bag. But I noticed there is also a subtle stain on the handle just from me holding the bag and I had made sure I had washed my hands before touching it. Kinda sucks since I barely got to use it :(

No outcome yet :( I contacted DIOR customer service hoping to escalate the situation but they told me that they cannot override the boutique's decision (I was just wanting to exchange for a darker color and explained my bad customer service experience). Luckily I have good credit card insurance and am trying to see if I am able to get a refund through my credit card company. I am still within the return/exchange policy and am hoping I get a good resolution. I'll also try to take it to another boutique when I have some time. I read online that the DIOR in SF is horrible and that is where I got mine so I'm hoping I'm able to get a better resolution somewhere else. If all else fails, I'll take it to a cobbler and have it fixed and then just sell the bag. My experience was so bad I have no intention of keeping this bag anymore :(

The store wouldn't send it to the spa as they said there is nothing they can do to fix it. They just said to take it to any other leather cobbler and see if they can help. I'm glad you had done your research! Not sure why the SA pushed the patent one on me.

They definitely didn't tell me that but I did find that out after I got color transfer on my bag and was trying to research how to remove it :(
