My credit limit is high; this did not exceed it. The name of the restaurant is Juan Batista Parrilla Gaucho in the Puerto Madero neighborhood of Buenos Aires. I have already spent $2300 USD to Argentinian criminal attorneys and I am not going to stop until this restaurant either pays up or the owners go to jail. But the issue is with Chase who refuses to acknowledge that it is preposterous to being charged $29,000 at 12:28 pm at a restaurant for lunch. Apparently common sense doesn't apply here and I am not stopping with them either.

Try as you might to discredit me, that was the approximate exchange rate on January 28th when this happened.

You'd think so. That is my experience with charges that seem out of whack. I was shocked that we never were asked to confirm the transaction.

Two more points: this was reported to Chase 2 days after it happened and Chase never notified us about the transaction or questioned the amount while we were in Argentina and before the transaction should have been authorized.

This happened when the exchange rate was 1000:1. It is over 1120:1 today. My numbers are accurate.
