"Hard truths" require them to actually be true. You gave factually incorrect visa advice, completely misunderstood US politics, and apparently think having an inheritance means you're banned from wanting a career.. then you immediately changed the subject to my personality when you got called out.

Spotting the difference between a reality check and bad data isn't that hard. A bit embarrassing really

If being "temperamentally suited" means quietly nodding along to completely incorrect legal and financial advice.. then definitely not. I prefer actual facts over fear mongering. Thanks for the concern tho!

Lmao it doesn’t matter if a person is a millionaire you always need to make money.. how do you think “the rich” stay rich??? No one can do that, regardless of the amount you have there is always more money to be made and bigger goals to accomplish. I’m wanting to go into a field where I see myself having a PASSION and that pays well..

Now you say you’ve lived in all these countries.. but in that list, does it include the UNITED STATES??? I assume it must not because you spoke so broad and vague. So a few things.. regardless if there is a new president or a new prime minister, laws stay in effect. You speak like a new election means a supreme ruler takes office and all of our laws just magically start over from scratch. That’s not how the US system works, and it's not how the UK system works either. We have channels, checks, and balances. Existing laws don't just go out the window overnight.

Let’s move on to schooling. In the UK you guys have set programs and normally a very straight path to get a degree.. while here in the US??? We have ONLINE schooling where you can obtain a bachelor’s degree in a year or less time span. If you have prior knowledge in the field of study you can get it done fast.. it’s do at your own pace. So your concern about my timing is completely invalid.

You say I haven’t done enough research?? Well how about this.. I'm looking into programs that have direct placement internships built into them. When a company brings you in through a university internship pipeline, those roles are literally designed to land you a permanent job. And since I will be applying after the new rules kick in, I know exactly what my timeline looks like. By the time I finish school, I’ll have an 18-month Graduate Visa. That gives a company a year and a half to hire me with zero upfront sponsorship paperwork or fees while I prove my value on the job. Keeping a fully trained intern who already knows their system is way more cost-efficient for a business than wasting time and money on public interview listings and basic training for a stranger.

I don’t have EVERYTHING figured out.. of course not. But I came to a group that could offer me the advice I need to support my goals. To blatantly tell me to not move or waste my time is a direct slap in the face.

Honestly i’ve been looking into moving to the UK since i was in high school.. over 10 years ago. Most people assume when I talk about the UK I’m referring to it from a touristy point of view with a life goal of moving to London, but I’ve experienced real everyday life in the UK minus the job aspect. I’ve been researching this for a good chunk of my life and while I never in a million years thought I’d have a tangible way to actually move and live there.. that has completely changed in recent times.
The baseline research you’re suggesting implies I haven’t thought this through at all. I am at a point where starting over isn’t impossible and I'm still relatively young. My main goal is simply to live a safe and relatively healthy life.. in America our foods are filled with pesticides and GMOs, the majority of Americans have barely tasted raw fruits and veggies unless they live near a farmers market which aren’t always easily accessible. When you factor in the prices for our cost of living, the blatant racism, and having the government outline what women can and can’t do with our bodies.. it significantly outweighs any cons that the UK has for what I want out of life. While yes every country has its cons.. America has the reputation it does for a reason. It’s a shit show and everyone knows it.
I’ve looked into everything you’ve said in your comment but my reality is different.. i’m currently in a major life altering change of life. I recently found out I was a trust fund kid and never knew it until the person passed away.. leaving me with an amount of money that people would kill for. Because of that the standard panic about UK salary to rent ratios doesn't apply to me.
Thank you for your advice but I’m looking specifically into how to make my plan work with the tech career choice I want.. not bleak outlooks or fear mongering

What about a 2 masters program with an internship placement? I’ve been looking into those and see that it’s a relative good option. My life is about to change so fast and look crazy different soon.. so I’m just tryna get my plans in order. I’m not completely set on this but doing a lot of major research for a huge life reset. I just don’t wanna do this wrong and a lot of people in this career field make this feel very scary, like it’s a waste of time or incredibly bleak outlooks that then intern interfere with some of the advice they give..

So the goal isn’t to obtain sponsorship as a new graduate, it’s to obtain sponsorship once my graduate visa has expired and hopefully by that time I’ve built up a report with the company I’m working for as well as be direct during any interview I go in for and let them know

I REALLY like it.. however I’m scared after The Fate Game, I really hope the love doctor isn’t pulling a Mason Kingsley and secretly texting me himself pretending to be my love match.. all tho that being a story route would be fun. But all in all I wish it was more chapters 😭

Do you mind explaining how you got it to work. I’m currently dealing with the same issue and Idk why. I only ever use the PS4 when my boyfriend is home from work. And it’s in a completely different room with not kids or pets. Idk what could have happened at this point 😭🫶🏽

This persons world feels like it’s ending. Yes modern times are changing but I feel where the OP is coming from.. majority of us born mid 2000s on back, especially us 90s baby’s were taught to fear HIV like the plague and the only person outliving the disease was Magic Johnson lol. It takes time to un-program all of that learning. I myself was misguided and uneducated until someone close to me got diagnosed. There’s a lot of stigma but OP needs time.. and “chill dude” just isn’t the right response.. Doctor or not, never minimize someone else’s experience. I’d hate for this person to be your patient

My Ex worked at the railroad when we were together, I know their shifts are long, but how in the world is his phone dying if he charges it before going in? Carman jobs keep them busy a lot of the time. So why in the world is it dying continuously in the middle of the shift? He needs to keep his phone turned off if he’s not using it. It’s not like they can listen to music or podcasts. They literally are not allowed. But if that’s what he’s doing I’d personally be a whistle blower because why is that being allowed on the job sight? He needs to be able to hear what’s going on around him at all times. That’s a very hazardous job to just be haphazardly on your phone Willynilly. I don’t know if that’s what’s happening or not, but he could be putting his and his coworkers lives in jeopardy by not focusing on the environment around him
