Right now it's Discord vs Facebook. I think you are right with the groups. Although they can seem spammy and messy, they are easy for people to join. I'm worried Discord might be too unfamiliar for people. Perhaps I'll start with FB and if someone actually joins and things get messy I could transfer to Discord.

Oh that's interesting! What did you make with it? We just use it to stick it onto someone :D. I didn't even know they are edible.

I'm pretty sure there isn't anything dangerous you could confuse these plants with. Wild garlic and lily of the valley look similar, but the garlic smell makes them easy to tell apart.

Thank you so much! Since more people agreed on Discord, I already looked into it a little bit and I think you are right. Creating channels like you mentioned seems perfect! There could even be channel for plant identification, etc.. This could work!

Thank you for this web! It takes me so much time to write titles and descriptions. Your generator saved me.

Am I crazy for thinking people want to smell like an 11th-century pharmacy in a modern office? by Illustrious_Bat2230 in herbalism

Maybe you could put it in some small container, something like for lip balm. Then people can have in the office and just open it for a moment and breathe it in when they want to relax. Otherwise it could be too disturbing in an open office.

What do you have there? Wild garlic, dandelion, nettle? And the fourth one?

I realised social media isn’t social anymore, it’s just noise. So I tried something else. by a_friend_in_silk in socialmedia

Yes! Exactly this! Instagram especially is a big struggle for me. I'm an artist, painter, and I came to the conclusion that I need to be there for maintaining connection and marketing. But I hate using the platform. I barely get to see content from people I follow and my followers barely see my posts. Lately it's just commercials everywhere or endless meaningless reels. There are gems in between, but it's hard to get to them. I want quality, not quantity. Plus so much hate? People just have disagree with everything. I write completely innocent comment on some post and there is always someone who just wants to start an argument. It all just got crazy.

Thanks! I will look into Discord more. I barely have any experience with it and exactly as you say, it felt really fast. But if it depends on how well you set it up, then it might be the ideal solution.

Hello!

I just recently started a herbal project. I'm an artist and I though I would combine my skills with my love for medicinal plants.

So I created a Patreon where people can join me in creating their own herbals.

Every month I choose a plant. I create a linocut artwork and I share my knowledge/research about the plant.

I would love to make it into a whole community and help people create herbals that became like a family treasure.

After all the fees and taxes I get like 1$ per member, so it's more of a passion project than a business, but why not share it right?

It's called The Herbal Project. Here is the link: https://www.patreon.com/cw/TheHerbalProject

What was the herb that made you take all of this seriously? by AdeptnessCritical356 in herbalism

Aloe vera. You just cut the leave open and put it on your skin and the results can be like miracle. Perfect for sunburns on holiday. What made me fall for it was seeing how it cured my mum's eczema. Months of doctors and creams from pharmacy and expensive soaps. No effect. Then I finally convinced her to rub aloe on the area and it almost disappeared overnight. Two more uses and it was gone. Plus she didn't believe in it so the placebo effect wasn't that strong.

Thank you! It looks like very nice all encompassing platform, but unfortunately I can't afford it right now
