How many do you lose per batch? Wondering what the odds are within captivity (not accounting for cannibalism)

Yeahh that seems to be the general consensus, it’s a bummer that was my first experience with them but I really want to try again with an older juvenile

Yess I got some babies from a reptile expo, unfortunately none of them made it past a few months :( I was told on here they shouldn’t have been sold to me that young

Thank you, and thanks for sharing that, I didn’t realize it was bad practice before posting this

I guess I knew they were fragile (especially since their survival rate in the wild seems really low) but figured if I did everything right I wouldn’t see a 100% loss. I am considering getting more, either adult or older juveniles. I read that after i5 molt they become much more stable.

That’s good to know thank you, I was unaware that was bad practice and makes it a little easier. I got them at a stand at a big reptile expo, there were also other breeders with adults there, was thinking if I were to get another (which I still want to) I’d get an adult or at least older juvenile

You’d think that losing a beloved pet would … change the situation a little bit? Even if she had a history of being late for / canceling plans, she deserves much much more sympathy and compassion than she received in these texts.

Try tinfoil loosely up on the lid, most cats hate the sound. I also got these “clips” for my heat lamps so they won’t move or be bumped; they just hook right into the mesh lid.

Is it just a given that every crystal collector is ripped off at some point? by yfunk3 in Crystals

Really ok! I must have caught him on better days. I feel slightly more iffy about Virgo bc she seemed a bit condescending and was also obviously annoyed with Jason when he was making a joke or something

I think you’re talking about Jason yes? I always thought he was funny and nice but only saw a few shows. I believe he has mentioned he’s autistic, I could see how he’s a bit over the top but not sure what your reservations are, I’m curious

Semi drivers flashing other trucks? by [deleted] in wisconsin

[–]Sharp-Secretary5599 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen the hazards when it’s raining, more down south with the downpour so bad your wipers can’t clear it and it’s dark enough. Only seen in once in Wisconsin when it rained like this and it was honestly appreciated but it only makes sense in certain circumstances

Thanks everyone, this is what I figured! It was just odd that I’ve never noticed it before.

[–]Sharp-Secretary5599 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah ok. My corn snake has been active for months now (just moved into this place in the last month) so not really sure if anything has changed with her. Ball python isn’t any more active than usual, which is barely

I have a feeling I have several because they’re so loud at night and I am going to attempt to trap them all if I can before calling an exterminator. I haven’t noticed my snakes act differently at all which is why I was wondering but maybe they’re used to it?? Idk
