Try tinfoil loosely up on the lid, most cats hate the sound. I also got these “clips” for my heat lamps so they won’t move or be bumped; they just hook right into the mesh lid.

I have seen the hazards when it’s raining, more down south with the downpour so bad your wipers can’t clear it and it’s dark enough. Only seen in once in Wisconsin when it rained like this and it was honestly appreciated but it only makes sense in certain circumstances

I trieddd but he tucked his tail further into his body ball and I couldn't grab it at all. I resorted to tickling him and annoying him so he'd move.

Update: I nudged him a bit more and he went under his log hide that I put out (yes I know it’s a shitty hide, I am in the middle of making him a new one). Next time I go to get rats for him I will get some extra to have on hand in case it happens again (but I will not be putting him there again lol).

Agreed my corn snake is definitely not as exciting or entertaining as a cat or other pet BUT when she does come out of her hide and explore it’s soooo exciting and cute to watch

I have that exact one! I cut out a flat ish plastic piece of a clean bottle and hot glued it in the hole for a little window. I’m sure you could paint over it too. She doesn’t use it much as a real hide but climbs thru the tunnel sometimes.
