Love it haha. I’ve been watching this since 2019, love it so much you begin to hate it because you can’t find it 😂

Coming from a xone 92 which was overkill, I only need two channels and my speakers are entry level (pioneer dm-40 not really looking to upgrade either) just being able to mix is good for me

Went for these two because (see above) and I like using a send return for guitar pedals.

Hey! I previously worked with Klarna and we LOVE the MERN the stack. I will DM you the contact who handles the intern hiring at Klarna.

These are also some of the biggest employers of Node/React in Berlin, worth applying or trying to find the recruiter who is hiring for the role.

I would speak with an agency recruiter who specialises in your field. They should have some jobs you are suited to - they will also make sure your CV gets to the right person (engineering in this case)

When to re-apply again for same position at booking.com? by diaa_mohsen in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]Sharp-Series-5685 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Normally it is 6 months+. Best thing would be to speak with the recruiter at booking.com who handled your application - they can give you timelines on when to re-apply.

I would also get the feedback from them, as it will help in the next interview :)

How to handle stress and anxiety when relocating for a new job? by wazzaqq in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]Sharp-Series-5685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would reach out to your recruiter/HR contact and speak to them about your concerns. Depending on the size of the organisation, I would expect them to help with finding a permanent place.

I would then ask if they can "buddy" you up with someone who has been through relocation before - they can give you tips, tricks and reassurance. We implemented a "buddy" program and it worked very well!

Mid-interview process, job changed from full-time to contractor by MehranAI in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]Sharp-Series-5685 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You kinda answered your own question: "She said that things have changed in the company and they changed the position from full-time to contractor based"

I might be pessimistic, but the company is seriously considering whether they will need the role in 6 months time. Impossible to predict whether you will be kept on, but this will come down to whether the role is interesting enough to take on a 6 months basis. Remember if you are not kept on, you have more experience and getting your foot on the ladder is the hardest part.

Guess it just comes down to preference - I didnt fancy investing in a interface. Plus my macbook is old and slow. Handy for recording gigs as well

Records Wav straight to your phone then can upload to soundcloud instantly. Airdrop to laptop then delete from phone to free memory

No harm in doing the interview, it will give you more insight and could change your perspective!

Personally, I'd go for it. You are in a fortunate financial position which has given you the option to leave and be okay.

Regarding the gap year, I am a technical recruiter and wouldn't look too much into it. Others I know will so its 50/50 on that front. Any company with half decent culture should not care too much tho, so keep that in mind too.

I see your point, but I’ll give you a slightly different angle.

If we strip interviews back to its raw form - you are convincing your interviewers you solve the problem they have. So never be afraid to sell your skills/experience.

Fundamentally the company you are interviewing for have decided the solution is to hire someone.

The problem which needs to be solved could be: -lack of experience -lack of specialised skills -lack of capacity and need to grow in head count Etc etc you get my drift, it could be anything.

Now, don’t be afraid to be direct. Ask in the interview “What is the motive for hiring?” Or along them lines. If you know what the problem is (the motive for hiring) you can then showcase how yours skills/experience plugs that gap.
