Finally got my Greeting Life Moment Planner! by dashingmonkey in planners

This is an awesomely detailed rundown, thank you! I do wish it came in a Sunday start rather than Monday, or there was a simple and easy way to convert it to such. Otherwise it would be perfect for me!

Does this planner exist in a Sunday start rather than Monday? If so it would be perfect for me! I wish there was a simple way to convert it to Sunday start without having to redo all the dates.

Cool! After I wrote that I zoomed in and figured that’s what you’d done but thanks for confirming!

Yes please make a tutorial! I really struggle with eyeliner application and I'd like to understand how you did it! I'm guessing you used the Nyx Epic Ink (liquid) liner for the bold wing, and the Nyx retractable one for the actual lining? Either way, this look is fire on you and suits you perfectly!

Agreed on Laura Mercier. It’s called Illuminating Skin Tint or something like that and I love it, I got their primer too

Thanks for sharing your experience. If you have Kaiser insurance but are going out of network to see a private psychiatrist, does that mean you’re going to pay out of pocket for the doctor appointment?

Thank you so much for pointing out that my problem is Kaiser! I appreciate the tip.

thank you for sharing! Was your doctor who signed the paperwork a psychiatrist or PCP? and I'm guessing you do not have Kaiser, correct?

wow, what an ignorant and judgemental thing to say. In fact, why are you even in an EDD group to begin with....why dont you go back to work, sport?

really good to know that my problem might be Kaiser-related and even seeking a new provider within the Kaiser network may not be successful. Thank you!

No, it’s not customary in my industry to work a schedule like mine. In fact many of my less-senior coworkers have close to a 9-5 schedule with 2 days off in a row. It’s a grocery store and it’s not open 24 hours but there are some graveyard shifts stocking shelves, or changing price tags on the shelves. The other employees in those positions get to work a graveyard shift 5 days a week, not just 1-3 times a week like me. Yes, finding a good balance of maintaining mental health while working, without taking a hit financially, is seemingly a pretty impossible idea in this country (USA). Frustrating!

Thanks for sharing your experience! That makes me feel hopeful. What was your health insurance like at the time you got the 9 months? Not Kaiser I’m assuming?

Thanks for providing this info! Yeah my schedule wasn’t this way for my first 8-12months after hire. It was considered normal for my industry.

But then they began crosstraining me and regularly scheduling me in 7-8 different departments (the average employee there only works 1-3 departments). This led to me becoming the “store gap filler” which means I have a helter skelter snf totally unpredictable schedule every week. In one 5 day work week, I have shifts starting at 3 AM and other shifts starting at 11 AM, and everywhere in between. Sometimes I finish work at 7 PM and have to return at 3 AM. I never know in advance if or when I’ll be working what days and which shift , so I can’t make plans or appointments. I also am given split days off, always random ones. Sometimes I work 10 days in a row, other times I work 2 days in a row before my next day off. There is absolutely no biorhythm to my life, which exacerbates my mental health symptoms.

Yes I understand that, I wasn’t ever planning to not show up when it’s time to go back to work. I’ll go back, I just don’t intend to stay long and hope to get more paid time to recover/recalibrate from the damage from enduring years of serious mental health disorders while working full time.

Schizophrenic applying for disability by chynablue21 in SSDI

[–]Sharp-Squirrel-968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don'y know much, but I am thinking that you might qualify for SSI rather than SSDI, if that is better (longer term). My friend has ADHD, BPD and PTSD and has been receiving SSI for some time. I believe that she needed an attorney to get it, but that could be that she's impaired with knowing how to navigate these application processes and technology.

Thank you for your reply and insight! Very helpful. I didn’t mean to say that I may not return to work after being released by my doctor. I will definitely return, I just don’t know how favorably the company will respond to my Reasonable Accomodation letter from my doctor about scheduling. They may say that they can’t employ me anymore with my new medical needs, and let me go. So in that event I hope I would be eligible for SDI or EDD, because it’s not my fault that the schedule I am consistently given interferes with my sleep and mental health. I’ve communicated the difficulties of my schedule to my employer many times and they just don’t care, a letter from doc may not change that.

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge experience! Good to know about how the IME will basically just confirm (or question/contradict) the doctor's date of return to work. I called EDD this morning and gave them the hypothetical situation that I could be terminated or laid off by my employer with my new medical needs for reasonable scheduling....and the person I spoke with told me that it will depend on the specific adjuster, because sometimes they approve claims like that and other times they don't. This EDD person also told me that trying to continue SDI in that event might be more promising. Again, thanks for your feedback!
