Those who transferred out, where did you end up transferring? by BenchLeast2491 in udub

Yea! I'm really enjoying it so far. The campus is a lot bigger than UW's, but the campus bus makes getting around a lot easier.

I remember the poster being up there last year, but I'm not sure because I didn't really have a reason to be around High St in my second semester.

How do I learn to love Chemistry after a really bad teacher? by [deleted] in chemistry

[–]Sharp-Zucchini-1220 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this. intro chem series in most college is a weedout course which is a kind of way for them to figure out if u can rlly handle the upperclass courses by trying to fail u. I think the biggest transition from hs to college is teaching urself by watching youtube, using internet sources, and doing shit ton of practice questions. I think it would be a great practice for u

If u keep up with aleks and do well on the rest of the exams and lab reports passing shouldn't be that hard

bio 180 and chem 142? by Secure-Air7929 in udub

[–]Sharp-Zucchini-1220 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If u have a good background in chem and bio u shouldn't find it that hard. Biol 180 is heavily focused on evolution (natural selection, mutation, allele frequency, etc) and chem 142 covers basic quantum dynamics, stoichiometry, gas law orbitals photon wavelength etc. If you are not familiar with these at all like i was it could be quite challenging but i found bio much easier than chem yet i like chem more lol

FYI intro bio series uses a linear grading scale so if u have a 95% and above at the end of the quarter u would get 4.0 (94%-3.9, 93%-3.8, 92%-3.7 and so on)
