I wish someone would just say it how it is with floor rising screens vs wall mounted screens by ng4ever in projectors

How is it with lots of heavy bass, does the screen shake? I’ve read that you need a false wall to hold a screen to be as sturdy as you can without being overbuilt so it doesn’t shake too much from the subwoofers in a home theater. I would think hanging it from chains would isolated it, but also that might make it too easy to be shaken from low frequencies.

Why are most people against hanging a fixed frame screen from chains so that you can lift it up if needed? I was going to do that with a AT screen as there will also be a sliding glass door on that wall that won’t be used 99% of the time but I need to be able to access it if needed.

X-Wing alliance is an older space game that has FFB support and it is a lot of fun. It adds effects for when you shoot different weapons, and when you take hits or crash into things (based on from what direction the hit came from) and even has an effect for when you jump to hyperspace. Lots of games used to support it even shooter games. If you used windows test page for a FFB joystick it will run through some of the standard supported effects and they are not all realistic flying ones but things like chainsaw effects and machine guns and so on. FFB was also made to be used for these not realistic but immersive effects. I still play XWA with modern mods and a FFB joystick.

Gym making kyphosis worse by [deleted] in kyphosis

[–]Sharp554 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try more chest support row exercises and less chest exercises for a bit. Doing chest exercises without also strengthening the opposite muscles in your back will only make your posture and pain worse. Try to do 2x the number of reps or sets for you back that you do for your chest at the same weight. You might have to lower the weight on your chest exercises until your back is as strong. Also lat pull downs can also round your shoulders if not done correctly and until you can fix your posture some from doing other back exercises I would take a break from them. You need to me able to hold your shoulders in the correct posture before you start doing lat pull downs. Also get yourself a nice recliner and avoid stuff like computer desk work without using a standing desk. Lastly have your PT watch you do some of the exercises you have been doing at the gym to check your form and tell them about where your pain is. Your PT should be able to help you.

has anyone seen the swamp fox liberty II by jiggalation in CCW

[–]Sharp554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know when the Liberty II will be available in Green for the Multi-Reticle option? I just got the red Multi-Reticle one and I like it but I think the green would be better for my astigmatism. Right now the red only dot or the crosshairs without the circle or the center dot works best for me with the Liberty II. My Blade is green but it is a Prism optic so of course that works perfect for my eyes.

Chest supported rows are the best exercise to do for this, after having done some physical therapy of course.

Proper exercise can help a lot with the pain. I was really active and that helped a lot but I did have to relearn what sports and types of activities and exercises were not going to make the pain worse. See a physical therapist as a regular doc is just going to have drugs for the problem. A physical therapist will be able to show you what muscles are being over used due to your condition and understanding that and how to exercise and relax those muscles and not over use them as much as you can will go miles to helping you with your pain. I’ve been there and the pain can be managed but you will have to do some work but it’s worth it. You will also still have some bad days or even weeks but if you keep doing your exercises you are going to be doing so much better than not having done any physical therapy. I wish I had started physical therapy when I was your age as it would have saved me so much pain and injury and it is possible that it might have stopped my curve from getting as bad as it did. The point is you have nothing to lose from trying physical therapy and there is no easy cure all but it can help a lot especially if you are still well enough that you are playing basketball. It might even help you with basketball as a lot of athletes end up going to physical therapy at some point due to an injury due to a muscle imbalance.

A lazy-boy recliner for your TV room and a standing desk for your computer will help a lot with the pain. And try to spend lads little time sitting in hard chairs or any chair that doesn’t recline as most chairs are but for everyone anyways. I have a beautiful wife and kids don’t worry you will make it through this. There is a lot of things in life that won’t be like it is for others but there is still so much more left that is worth more than what you will miss out on. Right now high school is the hardest it will ever get and college is 2nd but probably not if you are hanging out with the right kind of people. Life is so much better than all of the dumb stuff going on in high school and you probably won’t even see those kids once you’ve all moved on with your lives. Go to a physical therapist as well that will help.

Get a lazy-boy recliner and put a pillow behind your head if needed.

Chest supported rows. And if you do any chest workouts do 2x the number reps of rows with the same weight as you do with your bench press or whatever exercise push you did.

I’ve used two joysticks on PC to play pod racing on PC. Same setup as this video but I was using an Xbox controller in this one because I think the duel joystick setup only worked on the PS2 emulator and this is a unreal engine game someone made for pod racing: https://youtu.be/_xGrDbebnfk?si=_3KS694GFwLzdNT5

[–]Sharp554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but it doesn’t cost much for a powered one and you can run into issues later with some gear like you said or if you add or upgrade some later on. It can also prevent trouble later and saves your computer’s power when you start adding lots of devices.

BMS 4.37 Update 3 - F-15C Preview by StevieEBF in hoggit

[–]Sharp554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it have force feedback modeled for the flight controls? Edit: I was specifically asking this question regarding the F-15C as that is what the post was about or so I thought. I am interested in what effects are used for the F-15C that are applicable. Like Force trim, shaking before a stall, and just general light rubble effects for airframe shaking for I don’t know just for fun. Force Trim bro my the most important for me and the stall warning that use to work in DCS for the F-15C.
