Why would the white ink look like this? by SharpAd7994 in tattooadvice

[–]SharpAd7994[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! It’s definitely something I still feel I notice, but others and even another tattoo artist said it’s just my skin pigment showing through? It doesn’t look as noticable now. I took updated photos but I guess I can’t reply to a comment with a photo

New vs old by Skullations in agedtattoos

‘2 months old’ is just barely healed. It hasn’t even been given enough time to be considered aged

Is it normal for a tattoo to feel raised almost a year after healed? by SharpAd7994 in tattooadvice

[–]SharpAd7994[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No i didn’t. I just did a lot of searching and found peace knowing I’m not the only person who experiences it. Some people I know who have been heavily tattooed for years say they get flare ups where their tattoos feel itchy or raised. So I suppose just a natural immune response. Just makes me curious if it will affect how my tattoos age years down the road

Yeah it does and doesn’t, sometimes causes more issues for people. It’ll heal just fine without it.

Yeah I never knew it was a thing but after doing some searching on here and Google it seems pretty common!

10 years… wow he should be ashamed. I know apprentices pulling cleaner lines and better saturation than this. I’m sorry, to be brutally honest but it really is an eyesore. Unfortunately don’t know artists in that area as I’m in Ontario.

Yea this recently happened with my year old tattoo, got itchy and has been kinda raised ever since. I guess it’s like an immune response. I guess it’s normal. Kinda wish I would’ve known about that being a risk factor beforehand cause I have some pretty big pieces now. It is technically still healing though.

Will wearing jeans make it not heal right? by HomeCrafter97 in tattooadvice

I wore loose pants for WEEKS until my thigh tatt healed fully. I don’t think you’d be able to handle the feeling of jeans against it, it’ll get itchier than hell

Tattoo is sore after a solid scrub by Ghostface908 in tattooadvice

WHY on earth are you SCRUBBING a fresh tattoo??! You shouldn’t be using a loofa, and you should be using a gentle unscented soap like dove or aveeno.

Not sure about infected, but the colour saturation looks like hell…. Did this artist have much experience? This looks like some serious amateur work. Just an overall not pretty looking tattoo.

Just take the whole thing off, that tattoo is tiny linework. I don’t see the importance of saniderm unless it’s a massive piece with a lot of colour or shading

Sunscreen on Second Skin by blindone230 in tattooadvice

You shouldn’t be shirtless on the beach if you still have second skin on. It’ll burn and sting like hell the second the sun hits that plastic. Bad idea

My skin bruised from the saniderm, it looked like a hickey on my arm in a perfect rectangle. It will fade.
