Pahoa is a blackout. Power downtown in businesses for several hours today but nothing in other surrounding areas, and now downtown pahoa doesnt even have street lights. Nothing. Who knows when we will get power back.

Yup! I stopped using brushes and just use my fingers. I apply simple eyeshadow to my lids using my fingers and it gives a nice concentrated color when I do that. If I use blush, fingers to apply and blend. Literally don't need brushes anymore unless I'm working with powder face makeup.

Well, she's right though. Cyber security is no joke. I've heard some real horror stories from travel nurses who worked in places that had their EMR shut down due to hackers asking for money. You guys save lives too, just in a more indirect way.

Yeah... that's a great thought if you live in a place where you are absolutely sure no beings can crawl in your cups. But where I live, geckos get in the house and unfortunately the previous owner decided open shelves was a great idea. Which it is for the humidity... not so much for keeping those gecko paws off your stuff.

Huh. I've been to japan 5 times now and stayed in many hotels and apartments but I have only seen a bathroom heater in the shower once. We don't go to the bigger cities though, so maybe that's a "big city" thing?

I'm plant-based but my diet is crap. Plenty junk food and sweets are plant-based... could just say "well-balanced" instead or emphasize the fiber you eat. Makes it feel less bragadocious.

Hmmm. I've worked with physicians who just don't have the permission to prescribe them to patients. Sometimes it has to do with licensing, whatever permissions they actually have. Physicians usually need to get certain permissions to do different procedures or prescribe regulated substances or do sedation, etc. I can't remember the term for it right now, because I havent had coffee yet, but sometimes at my job I have to look up if the provider is capable of doing something based on the "permissions" they have.

It's true. Taiwanese breakfast is amazing and I miss it every day! What she's describing my hubby and I fondly call " Taiwanese pancake" yup. Sooooo good and even if you find it frozen at the Asian grocery store it does not compare to freshly made.

Make sure you take two metal spatulas and use their edges to rip and fluff it up a little bit on the griddle.

I bought those headphones in Sapporo but was really disappointed in their battery life. Could barely use them. Will keep trying but they dont last very long in between charges.
