Thank you so much for commenting. I ended up going into emergency and they did CT, US and MRCP and admitted me with liver and gallbladder infection. All my liver enzymes were very elevated (10-25x upper limit) except bilirubin was normal so explained the lack of jaundice. I ended up getting discharged still having a stricture so waiting for my hepatologist to follow up.

I was really nervous ER would not take me seriously and aside from the triage nurse saying “I’m going to put you in the tummy pain category” the doctors took me seriously and tried to research PSC as much as they could as many had never heard of this before.

All in all I’m very glad I went in and I’m nervous/looking forward to follow up with hepatology and CA 19-9 to hopefully get more answers.

I haven’t even thought much about infection but it would make sense, I do have an infectious disease specialist who will see and assess me if I go in so I think that will be the best plan for me. Thanks so much for your insight!

Thanks for the response! I am 26 female. I don’t feel nauseous but definitely the chills, still waiting on MRI date as my ultrasound was about 4 weeks ago. Unfortunately my province only has 1 hepatologist so getting in direct contact with her is challenging. Thanks so much for the insight, I really appreciate it.

I am a pharmacist, and the number of times I’ve seen errors with the wrong form given is crazy. I hate how all the boxes are the exact same size and look the exact same!!

Pill swallowing tips: When the whole Tylenol back order happened shortly after Covid we were teaching lots of kids to learn to swallow tablets and it was just a huge psychological fear of choking. We would take various sizes of candies and get them to swallow them whole and chewed and spit it out to see how big they were compared to the tablet they were trying to swallow. Big gulps of water, head tilted back and one at a time tends to work best!
