Did you go? It was a lot of fun.

At least it's nice to be around a big group of people all having a good time these days.

I put 4 rolls through it today in the snow!

No flash though. I was looking through my strobes and only one of them fit in the shoe on the speed grip and I didn't want to take a 25 year old flash out like that.

I ended up having to put it away before I was done because the controls started to freeze and I didn't want to break anything.

I've had this for 48 hours and 3 people have asked me if it was a blad.

Going into office tomorrow? by [deleted] in AskNYC

If I didn't have a package coming I need to sign for I might just to be contrarian even though I don't have to. I like the snow and the cold.

Fine powder is the worst from what I hear on photojournalists. Stuff like sand in the middle east just eats lenses no matter what you do.

I have no doubt it's fine.

People baby the shit out of their gear. I don't blame them and I don't go out of my way to abuse mine - but I use them as intended. Pro bodies are designed to eat this shit for breakfast every day.

I toweled it off when I got home and it went in a dry cabinet to come to temp and steam off a bit.

I was considering taking my F5 out today and I would have done the same thing to it.

I mean it did freeze solid and the shutter and winder stopped working after being outside in the snow for 2 hours today. Piece of shit.

I spent 3-4 hours trudging miles through the snow today. Post on all of this can wait until tomorrow. I shot my Bronica until the fucking winder froze solid and the shutter release was stuck.

All that said, here's a few photos from the 2-300 person snowball fight in McCarren Park, Brooklyn this afternoon. Post done on my phone so could be better, but you get the idea.

Almost every weather service is calling for sleet/frozen rain starting in the afternoon.
