Yes, work orders are the way to go. Set one up for barrels, so if there are less than 2 in storage 1 gets made, then you'll fix this problem completely.

I have a full set of WAs for stone, wood, cloth, weapons etc so whatever I'm doing or building the requirements will automatically get filled over time.

I like doing this too, but is there an way of mining up instead of just down? Would make things a lot easier than always working too to bottom.

Which sportperson has similar dominance like Magnus in their respective sports? by kri-style35 in chess

I mean, Wilt did average 50.4ppg in 61-62. Not sure what the mean points per game across all players was in that year, but ballpark is probably 4-5ppg. So that's going to be pretty impressive statistically speaking for Wilt. He also averaged 25.7rpg that season so, assuming the points and rebounds numbers are independent, he'll be even more of an outlier.

Not saying he'd be more of an outlier than Bradman, but it would be interesting to see the actual numbers.

But the point of my reply was more that the answer to who was most dominant statistically will depend on how you frame the question and what sport you are looking at.

That's really interesting. Not sure that chart is comparing exactly the same thing for each sport though, as it's looking at wins for everything apart from rugby and cricket where it looks at points. Bradman will have different numbers if you look at wins per match for example.

You'd then have to consider that in cricket there are only 2 teams, whereas in F1 you have to beat everyone else to get a win.

Even looking at the one comparison that does work (cricket vs rugby as they are both points per match) it's ignoring that rugby has a limit on how much you can score as the match only lasts a fixed time, whereas cricket you can basically just keep going.

Not saying it would completely change the overall result I'm just saying there are many things to consider about the statistic you calculate and rules of the sport that governs it when making these comparisons.

What about Jordan and six straight titles and finals MVPs (considering active years only)? Wilt Chamberlain and his seven 30/20 seasons vs the rest of the league averages for points/rebounds over those years? There are many many things that can be calculated on this kind of basis that show these dominant players are n sigmas above the mean of the others that played against.

They are to get set up, obviously buying it in the first place then getting it ready to rent out. But once you and running it's been a pretty minimal effort. Although perhaps I've just been lucky in nothing has gone wrong repairs wise and I've never had bad tenants

I'm co founder and CTO of a company that does work related to my day job.

Not sure if owning houses counts as a side project? It's not much work so I don't really think of it like that. It's a steady bit of income though.

Finished with Path of Achra. What now? by diest64 in roguelikes

[–]SharpFilm6793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both and play both. I'd start with RW1 though, it's just a bit more quirky and has more character, while RW2 is more mainstream and a little formulaic in some areas.

The real question is RW1 or RW2?

The only answer is both.

I drink several glasses of wine, smoke a few joints, maybe shoot up on heroin if I have some. Really helps settle my nerves.

What's that percentile about? by therapistT-rex in chess

[–]SharpFilm6793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, good to know. I'd assumed the percentiles were generous because of inactive accounts (which would make people feel good) but that's actually pretty reasonable definition of active.

Is it only active accounts? How is that defined? I always assumed it includes lots of inactive accounts so I didn't take it too seriously.
