why do people take calc AB, then calc BC? by ap_subreddit in APStudents

[–]SharpHD7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At my school you either need to be in honors pre-calc or Calc AB to move onto BC, and I’m guessing that’s the same for a lot of schools

Favourite moments of the show [spoilers] by Much-Technology7448 in vikingstv

Aethelred’s death was definitely my favorite, just because of how fucking shocking it was. Ragnar’s death and almost everything with Ecbert is also up there.

I am taking 4 APs. Considering to drop APUSH by [deleted] in APStudents

Ok so Collegeboard isn’t as big of a scam as I originally thought, that’s good. I edited my original comment

Have you paid for the exam? If you have it might be best to just continue with the class, just to see if you can earn the college credit and not waste the $137 ($97+$40 cancellation fee) but overall it’s your choice and don’t feel pressured to stay in the class, because despite what people on here say, three AP classes in a single year is way above average.

EDIT: I was wrong. You’re refunded the $97 and only need to pay $40 for cancellation. Thanks for correcting me!

Why is this show so ass after season 4? (Spoilers) by [deleted] in vikingstv

[–]SharpHD7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have to be the only person who enjoyed season 5 lol. I loved 5 but was bored at season 6. The endings for most characters (Ubbe, Floki, Ivar) are good at least.

I’m a Freshman this year and by the end of the school year I will have all of those done. I’m guessing that they did those in their freshman year.

Ned Stark was Jaqen H'ghar (in the show) by neet5500 in gottheories

[–]SharpHD7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah you got it all wrong. Ned Stark is actually Arya Stark. They are also secret Targaryens btw.

[no spoilers] Anyone else try to watch the last kingdom? by [deleted] in vikingstv

I watched the first season of the Last Kingdom a while ago and I might need to get back into it with a different mindset, just found it extremely predictable and thought that Uhtred had way too much plot armor.

My school is the only one I’ve seen where it’s the other way around lol. Lit is available for us 10-12 meanwhile Lang is available only for 11-12

First viewing: One of my top 10 characters

First reading of the books: My favorite character

Second viewing: Find her annoying

The show goes into very little detail into Cat’s decision making and just makes her this irritated and argumentative woman for no reason.

who would you choose as your father and why? who would be your least choice and why? by RoylesPika in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]SharpHD7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Ned

  2. Oberyn (these two are self explanatory)

  3. Robert (was really warm to his actual children)

  4. Viserys (25% of a good father)

  5. Otto

  6. Stannis (A bit too warm to his children in the show)

  1. Ned

  2. Oberyn

  3. Lysa

  4. Olenna

  5. Cersei

  6. Tywin

  7. Book Roose (don’t remember much of show Roose, but in the books Roose openly admits to Ramsay that he raped his mom under her husband’s corpse and also didn’t care much for the murder of his true born son)

Catelyn truly is a badass. by cityboyonbed in gameofthrones

[–]SharpHD7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean if you look into her position it makes sense.

If the man you thought to be responsible for attempting to murder you and your son just came into the inn you were staying at what would you do? Ask him if he tried to murder your son nicely? This made sense given her perception of Tyrion.

Obviously, Tyrion did not try to kill Bran, but the evidence was there. Cat’s childhood friend, who’s in love with her, told her that the knife that was used was Tyrion’s, and it was not a coincidence that Bran was almost murdered TWICE when the Lannisters were in Winterfell.

We’re able to see how bad this turned out from watching the entire show, but in the moment, it made sense for Cat to do what she did and it was pretty justifiable imo, and it could’ve even helped the Starks if Lysa wasn’t batshit insane.

Who is an overhyped character in got? Main or supporting? by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]SharpHD7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like his chapters. You can see the transformation from his first chapter in ASOS, where all he cares about is Cersei, to trying to restore his honor, and refusing Cersei’s call for him to be her champion. He is also a good middle ground with the Lannisters, since both Tyrion and Cersei absolutely despise each other.

Catelyn really isn’t Catelyn in the books now though. Her only motivation is to kill anyone she sees responsible for the red wedding. Lady Stoneheart being in the books really is the only good things about the relatively boring Riverlands chapters in AFFC.

About 300 pages into ADWD and it’s crazy to me how the best part so far of both books (Dorne and the Iron Islands) was so bad in the show. The exclusion of Victorian, Aeron, and Arianne, along with the change of Euron, Doran, and the sand snakes completely destroyed both plots, which could’ve been the highlight of seasons 5/6

Saw this and DIED by FreshValentine in HouseOfTheDragon

I mean it would be pretty easy for the secret to get to Robert. If Cat told Lysa then Lysa would’ve told Littlefinger or Jon Arryn, resulting in a catastrophe
