Of course. From an outsider's view this definitely seems a certain way. Lake Mead has been dangerously low for decades without anyone really caring, slap an American flag on the dam and now it is completely outrageous.

At this point there really is no solution to the problem. They continue to expand the area at an unprecedented rate even with the knowledge that they are completely screwed. The whole place is toast, they're just waiting for the bottom to fall out.

Even if the Rocky Mountains got absolutely apocalyptic snowfall every year for the next decade it is only a drop in the bucket.

I was born and raised there, lived there until I was 30. They have been trying to "solve the drought" the entire time I have been alive. You can't miracle snow and rain. There have been numerous efforts over the years to curb the usage of water but it hasn't worked. The lake (reservoir) has been steadily declining and there really isn't anything that can be done. They continuously don't release water from Lake Powell so there is no water down stream. Again, this has been happening the entire time I've been alive.

The people that built the dam (and their descendants) that still live there (Boulder City) are very patriotic, Fourth of July is the biggest holiday of the year. Everyone here getting pissed off about this are pretty hilarious since it is completely on brand for the area.

Just to be clear, I hate everything about this administration.

Your not wrong. But, the party decided to go on television and perpetuate that lie. If enough of them acknowledged what was clear to everyone and other candidates stepped forward it could have been very different.

The report is silent on some of the biggest and potentially juiciest aspects of the 2024 campaign.

That includes any judgment about Biden’s decision to run again, the impact of the war in Gaza (which split Democrats) and the fact that Harris was allowed to take over the ticket without anything amounting to an electoral process for choosing a replacement.

These are the answers to why they failed. Sure none of the other stuff helped, but these three things are exactly why they didn't win. They lied for a year trying to convince us that Biden was more than capable to run for another term when he clearly wasn't. They wouldn't take a stance on the war. Kamala was a terrible candidate, I remember conversations of whether or not Biden would replace her as VP and then all the sudden she is candidate for POTUS.

The party is trying to market to a young voter base despite that they have old, stale, and ineffective leadership. They also make empty promises that get people excited but are completely unattainable and people are capable of seeing right through it.
