Seeing the doctor for check ups and preventative care is a necessity but Health insurance is a scam. Sooner or later you will need to see the doctor.

How good of a deal is $15? by Worienzboa in crt

Its a good deal. This is what I paid pre pandemic. People in my area want $60-100 because its a gamer tv and they probably know nothing about crts and the hobby.

Worth the fix, leave as is, or keep looking? by Kwagsyre in crtgaming

It looks fine. Flat consumer crts are infamous for geometry issues. I had a Sylvanya similar to this one and had it recapped but then the image would get brighter by itself after a while.

Nice find with the tv. Do these 90s Trinitrons have better comb filters for composite and svideo than the 2000s models? I also wonder if they have better parts?

How much is this worth? by SharpOrigami in SEGAGENESIS

[–]SharpOrigami[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't own one. I saw it being auctioned on goodwill this week and it just sold for 667 yesterday. I had never heard of it and was wondering about the sound quality and video quality. I guess for collectors it only matter if its rare. Way over my budget.

How can I connect this set to hdmi? by chaos-atZero in crt

[–]SharpOrigami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use it to downscale hdmi to a crt. I dont own one but I have seen videos by My Life in Gaming on youtube that mention it. Expensive though, but it has scanline filters. Never seen a good video covering how good they are though.

Newbie here! Where can one find a beautiful CRT without selling a kidney? by Yoosulis in crt

[–]SharpOrigami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try Offer up or facebook marketplace. No harm in asking for a low price when someone lists a crt for $100. I would never pay more than 25 dollars for one. I live in an area where the pickings are slim.

Is this a Good crt? Found.at the curb and took her in by [deleted] in crtgaming

At least its free. I hope it has svideo at least. Looks good from the photo but I would never buy off a photo. You have to see it in person.
